Moral Courage and Freedom
To escape from one prison to another is the great temptation.
For as we escape from one prison, we meet the fear of freedom, and so we are tempted to put ourselves in another prison to feel safe.
The fear of freedom can only be met by courage.
All of us are born free but most of us are in chains because we are afraid to be free.
And the kind of courage freedom needs is moral courage.
Most of us have physical courage. Police, firemen and soldiers have physical courage. And mothers will defend their children like tigers. But very few of us have moral courage. And very few of us are free.
So you 'escape' from one prison to another.
