How oily/dry is your skin?
It's pretty oily. I have to use those oil blotting papers on my skin.
How oily/dry is your skin?
Ooh, I have the cream palette. Good stuff.
I <3 mac brushes.
Gotta try the MUFE products this time around, when I buy new foundation.![]()
mmhmm: Wow, you're like the resident makeup expert. I am curious to see what your makeup collection looks like.
UPDATE: I am still in love with Sugarpill (I have all the pressed powders now).... I only have to swipe each eye twice to get the brightness I want on my medium tan skin (w/ warm yellow undertones) .
Do you have any suggestions on incorporating bright eyeshadow into an everyday look?
I typically put black eyeshadow all over my lid and put a layer of bright shadow above it.
I am super-jealous of mmhmm's makeup collection!
mmhmm - Can we see a pic of you with makup (and without)? I want to see whether all that hard work is worth it!
Anyone else invited to share, as well.
Totally agree! I want mmhmm to do my makeup.![]()
What's a waterline? And were those smashbox primers eyeshadows? I didn't know eyeshadow came in liquid.![]()
if i rmember correctly, you said you had dryer skin?
how do they work under your eyes... i have fairly dry
skin too and i've noticed that at first application, i felt
it was hard to work with BUT if i just leave it to settle
into my skin... like i have to go do the rest of my face,
when i come back the concealer is just perfect. like
it needs time to sink in or something.
do you know which brushes you are using?
the ones i use most often are the 134, 217 and
i loooove the 231 for smudging/eyeliner/eyeshadow
my lower lashes
i use the 134 to pat pat pat loose powder.
and seriously if i can have only one brush,
i'd go for the 217. AMAZZZZING blending abilities.
so awesome for the crease!
I plan to try this next when I buy primer.omg try the primer. i bought the smashbox in colour
corrective purple (for brightening), i mean the texture
is definitely super silky, but i tihnk the MUFE does a
better job at keeping my skin balanced, and i have noticed
like flakiness with the MUFE, i've found that the smashbox,
even though feels a little more slick, doesn't do as good a
job of helping control my skin, i feel as though it's more a
film and i have to work very carefully with it compared to
the MUFE.
yeah i put kitchen paper towels under everything when i'm
putting on my face i need sometihng to wipe
I can't wait to try them out. I love the mini-sets too. I have a whole drawer full of lipsticks I haven't used (lancome free gifts), but I go out and buy more.i have this! they came out as a limited edition last
christmas! the packiging is a bit different but same
colours!
i really love the shades, i can wear them all and it
doesn't make me feel garish! and they last and last!
i think sephora has singlehandedly gotten me into
these mini sets! because i never finish the big products!
i looove underage red, it's like berry stained lips. yum.
I will be there!sephora is on sale in a week!!!!!
my recent haul!

swatches of the ombre d'eau
my favourite liquid eyeshadow ever is the
chanel ombre d'eau eyeshadow (link).
I know it's so 70's/80's but I have been having a SERIOUS urge to wear that blue mascara again>cobalt or royal.....Don't know if you know that used to be popular back when. Or even green. But mainly blue. Does anyone do that? And do you know a good brand?
I love colored mascara.
YSL makes blue, violet, burgundy, gray (surprisingly pretty on), and green. (In addition to black, ashy black, and a couple of shades of brown.)
Also Diorshow Iconic if you want a blue that you can see.
My personal favorite is Estee Lauder More Than Mascara, which is navy blue.
Oh -- primers -- e.l.f. eyeshadow primer is surprisingly good for $1.
And I love Avon Magix Face Perfecter Primer better than any more expensive primer I've tried, if you're looking to keep the shine off your face.
Also I'm crazy for Dior quads, and going in the opposite direction from glam, Bobbi Brown for a day face.
And MAC cream blushes.
Yes, I have dry skin, but it's not flaky. It's aging, so it's really hard to moisturize, as the dryness comes from within. But my makeup goes on well if I moisturize. I have problems with concealers fading, so I apply the concealer over my foundation. That seems to do the job.
