I always think of J and P when I think of the messiness spectrum.... (Doing work and things ahead of time or waiting until it needs to be done... And frankly, there is rarely a true need to clean.) I could be wrong, of course.
Oh, you're not wrong about it

I completely agree!
Yeah, I can't have my living space that cluttered. It gives me anxiety (and I'm not typically very anxious.)
Same here. A complete disaster are would drive me nuts.
yeah, messiness is better J-P related.
besides that.

Ti especially. Ti looks like J sometimes, especially in INTPs.
personally, i'm messy by nature (a la, throw the clothes on the floor while searching for what i want to wear) - but i'm also really organized with important things, and i prefer to have an open and "relaxed organized" space - like shirts stacked in a coherent pile, but they don't have to be perfectly aligned. a cardigan draped over the chair. a bin of scarves and gloves. i like to have neat areas but let things be a little messy within those areas.
too much perfection stresses me out as much as too much messiness does.
And too much clean is annoying too. Everything ends up getting messy again. And when things are put away, I definitely forget about them. It's like they're my source of entertainment. I'm bored in a place with NO stuff around.
My ENTJ husband can't stand my messy habits. He does laundry about 3 times a week. I do mine about 3 times a month (sometimes). He wants an impeccable kitchen. I leave dishes around. He wants the bed made. I don't. The list could go on. (To my credit, I've gotten better about doing more chores so he isn't in a constant state of picking on me.)
My ISTJ friend is very tidy. Everything is pretty much put away. The exception in her house is sometimes her bedroom. She can have a lot of laundry lying about. But nothing she couldn't clean up in 5.
I have an incredibly messy ENTP. I'd help him clean up his cubicle sometimes...it was bad. He'd keep random trash around...take-out cups, cans. Random office toys, old papers... just a huge mess.
I also know a much cleaner/neater ENTP.
And I know a clean/neat ESTP. His place wasn't spotless, but he almost always put stuff away. Some paper clutter on the dinner table, maybe a video game left out. He could clean his place in about 10 for company.
And that's what I've got!
