What needs to be elaborated on?
I don't see what's difficult about this...
It is extremely easy to reconcile Christianity with the Big Bang and evolution.
LMAO lark!
The point is to support your argument with some sort of explanation.
Asking for an explanation, does not mean I find the it difficult to understand, I merely ask to collect a better understanding.
Is somebody drunk?

My point is, "Why?"
I've done it before; therefore, I know it can be done; therefore, what is interesting about doing so, at least for me?
I'm not a Christian trying to proselytize to the masses in order to save them from Eternal Damnation or anything.
It's easy to reconcile Christianity with the Big Bang and evolution, but that doesn't mean it interests me anymore.
Fuckin a... alright... you've appealed to my weak spot... here it goes...
So, God made the Big Bang happen ~14B years ago, the universe has been expanding ever since then, ~4.3B years ago the Earth formed from elements in space, gravity, and whatever other natural forces may have been involved, and, sometime between now and then, life began evolving on it.
A little over 2,000 years ago, one of these life forms that evolved, happened to be born in a manger in Bethlehem to a virgin named Mary, and this Being was actually God's Only Begotten Son, sent to sacrifice his life for the forgiveness of our sins. Three wise men visited him when he was born. So did an angel.

The Shepards God Damnit!!!

Oh, I'm sorry...

I was thinking about this the day before yesterday.
I'm not trying to discount your faith or anything, but, as a former Christian, I feel compelled to mention that, well, that passage is a phenomenal piece of circuitry to install into the brains of (potential) followers who you desire to have completely brainwashed into devoutly/blindly following your cause, regardless of its actual veracity.
Doesn't make it any less true if the cause is true, but, well, it's still a damn effective tool, even if it's not...

Agreed. There's a silent addendum to this:
"Blessed are they that have not seen, and yet believe (in what I'm saying, not what the other guys are telling you)."
Such cynical and modern, prolestysing version of religion. I often wonder what sort of insidious evangelising people have experienced that they are so turned off from it, its supposed to be properly understood as good news.
That is each and every believer."Blessed are they that have not seen, and yet believe."

Well it would depend on your interpretation, objectively you cant compell belief, those who experience it easily and without doubt are blessed, in the way a lottery winner could be considered blessed. Its not about trying to guilt people into believing without evidence, if you read the gospels and acts of the apostles they all required evidence, over and over and over again, even with the evidence some of them betrayed Jesus or proved human all to human when put to the test.
