“Reactive / Proactive: In order for changes to be implemented we need to develop a proactive stand versus reactive? Why is if we have to propel our self into action only when danger manifests rather than anticipating it and only thereupon making effective change upon the planet? State what is reactive and what is proactive and what is the difference? Which do we happen to be? Taking this view what will be the long-range repercussions? How can we change this? Is it possible that biological predisposition is redirected?”

"We are reactive species and not proactive. We are propelled to act only in crises. In order for changes to be implemented we need to develop a proactive stand vs. reactive. Why is it we have to wait to receive danger rather than anticipating it? Thus we could make effective change upon the planet in proactive fashion with an toward the future? We have this reactive element and resist change, mostly fear of the unknown and people fortune tell, "perhaps I will be the worse for the changes. We need specialists we can trust to help usher in new changes that we may not be comfortable with due to lack of familiarity. I intend to vote for politicians who espouse humanitarian ideals.

Such as education, increasing the happiness quota ratio, children, environment and closing the wealth gap in America. It is only by being cognizant and electing officials who espouse these ideals can we get a toe hold in Washington to confront the lobbyists who dampen our attempts to make real change. Our minds in generality are geared toward today with some immediate pleasure vs. planning for contingencies that may happen or not. Otherwise we of course should be ruled by and large by reason. We seek a thrill, or pleasure and damn consequences. We would not ruin the environment if we were so proactive and we certainly would give more attention to children, & education."

“Reactive / Proactive: Being proactive versus reactive in how we deal with societal and global problems. I guess my basic problem is that we have a host of societal problems. We also have a direct impact on the environment and the world which we live in. Yet we go on living day to day. Each is consumed by their immediate concerns in reality. It does not seem the government puts 'think tanks' in place to counter our problems, much less find a solution.

“Those that don’t understand judge. With understanding comes less judgment. We all fear that which we don’t understand.
We often demonize people or actions of others because in part we don’t know their motives.

Prejudice though is when we judge other cultures, peoples, nationalities, ethnic groups and civilizations other than our own.

There are some where this is completely apparent. Hitler, Stalin and serial killers are doing heinous acts. These absolutely need to be stopped and stomped irrevocably.

Diversity though can be a wonderful thing. We can grow and see things from other peoples perspective and lens of perception.

If we are nationalistic, full of pride, hubris and closed minded to see other perspectives, then we will never grow.

Not to the potential we are capable of. If we only hold unto our own mores and norms, we can not see the picture coming from other rich cultures and heritages.

If we can practice tolerance, open mindedness and respect for those others of dissimilar beliefs we can stretch and grow our understanding.

We can evolve to be even greater than our current selves by incorporating and stretching our limited perceptions into a whole new level of understanding.

The danger and holding back of closed minds is that they hold back all of society. Change is often feared.

It is thus resisted. There are visionaries who can perceive a bright new reality that is greater than our current status quo.

It is up to change agents to understand these fears. We need to work together and find a bridge of understanding.

It is a shame that often times we resist change. We fear what we will lose rather than focusing on what a bright future we shall receive if we only commit to progressive changes.

We are more reactive than proactive. It is fear and that fear stops us from traveling to the unknown.

One that will expand our reality and as well our quality of lives. That is why we need a leader who understands the fears of their constituency.

Leaders who understand our fears and helps to placate them by offering a greater future. That is if we only combine forces and unite to usher this change together.

In order to do that there are essential ingredients. These being tolerance, respect and open mindedness of other people viewpoints.

It is only when we communicate from such a vantage point that we can communicate successfully and bridge the gap to make successful changes.” LightSun
