I love everyone for contributions to this, I really hate how people discount the 80s, because it's my childhood, and it's actually full of genius,so I love the posts here.

By the way, born through mid-70s through mid-90s might get this. My nephew was born around 97 and still gets many of my references. If you are Japanese, born after 97, or unduly pretentious, you might not fully enjoy Rob Zombie Halloween...he was like 50 to my 35, but he provides the adult experience to my youth. There's something inexplicably American late 20th century about this.. like Tara Subkoffs #Horror , and David Cronenburgs Maps to the Stars, this is how American Gen Y appreciates Gen X.

This only misses the 70s by two years. Of course it isn't very mellow, unless you count that the Gibson he is playing here in part of the concert is more mellow than his usual Fender Strat.

I think those are some good choices, Watchtower. (Probably better than mine which wasn't even from the right decade.)
