-superhero power
If I could have a power I would want to shapeshift into animals.

-technology that's now obsolete
The first thing that comes to mind is CD's. I like burning them for people. They're not entirely obsolete, but getting there. You can't put a burned CD onto an ipod without a lot of trouble.

-human invention
Vibrators. :p Or electronic trance music. Or sushi.

-place to be kissed
Lips.

-pizza toppings
ALL the veggies.

-person who makes you laugh
my sister

-time of the day to wake up
I like being up early but I don't like getting up early. Lately I've been getting up 10-11 am.

my yoga/meditation blanket, either in my room or under some lovely trees with sun shining through the leaves

-person or place you'd visit if given time off & a free trip
Japan!

-book
So many.

-time playing, as a child
I loved hiking and caving.

-body part
In general or mine? I appreciate the human body more holistically. I like ratios and curves and angles and proportions and anything aesthetic. And boobs are nice.

-question/observation about yourself - from someone else
You're the only person I know who makes things more complicated in order to understand them.

-weather
sunny and summery in the temperate rainforest

-memory with a family member
My sister and I giggle a lot over silly stuff. Especially when we were growing up. We have memories like this with most of the family. We all have a good sense of humor.

-thing you learned in school that you actually use in 'real life'
critical thinking skills

-question you still seek an answer to
Why are men so gross? As in, why do they enjoy it?
Edit: this is not my favorite question by any means haha. Just the first one that popped into my mind which I think a lot.

-quality you take some pride in
ability to formulate theories

-way to blow off steam
rant to imaginary people and imagine I'm making a video on youtube

-smell
the woods

-exclamation when you are mad
I don't really have one. Maybe "Grr!"

-lie you tell yourself or others
"I'm not judgemental."

-wonder found in nature
Pretty green trees? I also collect dead butterflies, feathers, wild bird egg shells, and seashells among other miscellaneous little things.

-tradition you have
Home made sushi with 2 friends. And family dinners at Grandma's for holidays and birthdays.

-article of clothing or possession
I have a lot of tank tops and yoga pants. That's basically my outfit 9 days out of 10.

I don't get why people do this. Does anyone even care what is written by a disembodied entity on the internet?

Hi! I haven't run across you before. Glad you stopped by the thread.

Is your criteria for finding interest in something written: knowing the writer's?

I am fascinated by op-eds in the New York Times but don't know the author's

I can enjoy a movie based on true life, without necessarily knowing who wrote the script :)

Human interest? Developing friendships? Learning differences and similarities?

It wasn't part of my original intent - but I have learnt a lot of pizza toppings that sound delicious & I want to try - that I would have had no idea of until this thread

Yes! I was thinking of similar thoughts to this question. I love the curve from a woman's small of her back to the top of the thigh. I love the sweep of hard to soft texture on a man's thigh. Or the valley of divot above the upper lip... So many great 'snapshots' on the human frame.

Flying. This is so cliché. But it is cliché for a reason.

-technology that's now obsolete
Lexica. I mean the ones in book form, with 30 volumes or something, and so heavy it's a miracle you don't need a weapon license for them. Beautiful. Other than that? Encryption machines.

-human invention
Glasses. I like being able to see clearly

Whoever the person is who's making me laugh at the moment is my favourite person to make me laugh.

I'd like to have time manipulation, if I were to be granted one.
-technology that's now obsolete
Well, I haven't been around too long. If I miss anything, it's probably going to be what we don't already have. Otherwise, it's likely mostly improvements to predecesors that now exist.
-human invention

A physical object, not a concept? Probably electricity, that's stemmed out into so many possibilities.
-place to be kissed
Assuming it's someone I'm attracted to and want to be with romantically, my lips... I'd find it odd if someone had a stronger preference elsewhere.

-pizza toppings

Mushroom, pepperoni, broccoli, spinach, sausage, and lots of cheddar/feta/mozzerela cheese.
-person who makes you laugh

Personally? My dad. In general, maybe some comedians like Louie C.K., George Carlin, or myself.
-time of the day to wake up

Whenever my body and mind naturally decide they are rested  - this varies a lot. Honestly, the biggest issues for day-to-day activity with me stem from staying up later, and sleeping longer than most people. If revolvings were about 26-28 hours, I'd be functioning way better. :happy2:
-snack
Sushi(preferably salmon or tuna), wasabi, soy sauce, ginger together.
-spot to think alone
Any place that I can manage to be alone and feel comfortable/at home in. So, as it currently stands, my dorm room. I spend too much time alone. (or do I?)
-person or place you'd visit if given time off & a free trip
I'm always visiting my parents and we go to places in Southeast Asia. I guess I'd like to be with them and my girlfriend, who's in China, and go someplace adventurous like India or Tibet.
-book
1984, Siddhartha
-time playing, as a child
My earliest memory may be of my parents and I by a small basketball hoop we set up in our house, and I was so happy just interacting with the rubber ball and whatnot.
-body part

Functionally, or on a romantic partner? I think I'd be completely depressed without the capability to hear, but I assume that has nothing to do with the question since the ears aren't the only part necessary for that function. I guess it's probably meant to apply to attraction, so I think face has to be the most important, and I'd find it odd if anyone answered differently as a primary. But then, literally every part is important as well, and I particularly think one's composure, posture, etc. is very reflective of their personality and outlook.
-question/observation about yourself - from someone else
I'm reclusive and seem to scare off others, I don't do things just because others want to and I find little reason to be motivated for many things. I probably seem quite enigmatic.
-weather
If I'm already awake and involved in something engaging, extreme wind and rain storms can be fun. Otherwise, I can appreciate a mild, warm slightly sunny day, as well as a light rain, dark and overcast.
-memory with a family member
My parents are most of my important memories involving people, or at least, family.
-thing you learned in school that you actually use in 'real life'
I'm still in school.
-question you still seek an answer to

Well, the most important must be finding oneself and some ounce of purpose in being. I think above all else I seek some form of transendence.
-quality you take some pride in

Neutrality, coldness, darkness, intelligence, patience, solidarity, mental intensity, creativity, intuition/innovation/foresight.
-way to blow off steam
I don't think I really do this. I'm not easily upsettable, or if someone does something unjust I address it immediately, if it persists then they're obviously just trying to get to me so I don't need to be associated with them. I tend to shake things off really fast - which goes back to a previous question, it's another thing that has been pointed out about me.
-smell
I think people love the smell of most foods when they're starving. Sometimes I think it might be worth waiting a day or two to eat just to feel some ounce of gratitude or enjoyment. I like the smell outside after it rains. When infatuated - the pheremones produced by the girl I'm with.
-exclamation when you are mad
It's pretty rare that I go truly mad. Probably "fuck," the most generic answer.
-lie you tell yourself or others
I really try not to lie because I think it would detract from my best possible self. I don't want to have to deceive others in order to get ahead. I believe people should strive to be self-sufficient and independent. If anything, I probably don't sell myself enough and try to make stronger impressions beyond what I can be perceived as doing. All the talk I do involves what probably sound like crackpot theories to most.
-wonder found in nature

I love most things associated with water. Water represents immortality, wisdom, being, self-sufficiency, harmony, etc. Oceansides, waterfalls, ponds, caves, and other bodies of water. There's too many that I've explored.
-tradition you have
I'm no traditional type, though I always celebrated major holidays with my parents. I'm sure that will continue to fade away.
-article of clothing or possession
I usually find that I'm most comfortable in well-fitted light shirts, jeans, and jackets. Hot weather needs to leave so I can put on something more. I think what I wear does affect my mentality because it will be a consideration of what I am. Although my being shouldn't have to include my physical form, sadly, everything is a consideration in the essence of one's being.

Courtesy of magpie:
You're a defensive person and sometimes I get a mean sort of quality from you. I think you can be passive aggressive in a somewhat scathing way. But you cover it up with this air of lightness and silliness, which can actually be fairly frightening at times because of the particular combination of traits. It's hard to explain. You definitely have a lot of fierceness simmering just under the surface and I think it bubbles up fairly easily. I definitely get an air of confidence from you that I think might get in the way of your ability to reflect. It can seem like you think you know already and therefore don't need to reflect.

Anything small and tidy enough to fit in my purse.

-spot to think alone

I hijack all places for this purpose.

-person or place you'd visit if given time off & a free trip

Northern and Western Australia.

-book

Dune, unless I'm forgetting something, which is likely.

-time playing, as a child

Reminiscing doesn't do much for me, maybe because I've tended toward anhedonia in my lifetime up to this point. I keep faith that the best parts are yet to come so long as I don't get in their way.

-body part

Hair, though it can be a pain to maintain its appeal.

-question/observation about yourself - from someone else

Here it is.

This is the question where before, I have been unable to think of anything and so left my computer with the tab open to fill it in later, then came back later to write a several more (other) questions and click "preview post", only to have my browser forget the entire survey.

Two times, browser. Two times, but not this time.

:run:

-weather

Extreme dry heat. Anyone would hate it if they spent their time directly out in it and active - that's doing it wrong. This weather is meant to be enjoyed from the fringes.

-memory with a family member

Again, memories aren't a clear source of favorites for me, but I do not take my family and their ties to me for granted.

-thing you learned in school that you actually use in 'real life'

To take orders.

-question you still seek an answer to

Objectively, what am I capable of? What answers do my experiences and actions indicate to that big question?

-quality you take some pride in

You caught me just as I was throwing away my former concept of what this question means. Currently unable to answer.

-way to blow off steam

Verbally express the emotions in a safe and acceptable place.

-smell

Ocean

-exclamation when you are mad

Expressions of disgust, and understatements. I lean toward hyperbole normally, so if I start to minimize things, it means I really loathe them.

-lie you tell yourself or others

There is one correct choice of [thing], and how I feel about it doesn't matter.

-wonder found in nature

I pine after the unobtainable - your deep seas, cracked desert, thunderheads - and take pictures of it when I can.

-tradition you have

I don't believe I have any traditions at this time, and historically have tended to feel aversion toward them. But when I say that, I'm thinking of a much younger self, and would be open to a change of heart in the future.

-article of clothing or possession

These aren't clothing, but various dark shades of lipstick and a small collection of masks.

Tell me your favourite:

-superhero power
Superhuman strength.

-technology that's now obsolete
Honestly, I miss my old flip phone. I still love that thing.

-human invention
The scientific method. That, and modern medicine.

-place to be kissed
Neck and shoulders. Mouth-on-mouth kissing is overrated.

-pizza toppings
At cheap places: I love meat lovers pizza. Supreme is my second favorite.
At not-as-cheap places: Goat cheese and caramelized onions.

-person who makes you laugh
All my favorite people make me laugh. Too hard to narrow it down.

-time of the day to wake up
Between 10 and 11:30am. I've never gotten the hang of the 9-to-5 and what it means for my sleep schedule. I suspect I'll never adjust to it. My ENFP GP/medical researcher friend told me I probably have delayed sleep phase disorder.

Beef jerky, forever and always. I associate it with my hometown in the Rockies, and with long road trips.

-spot to think alone
I don't have one, but I think I could use one.

-person or place you'd visit if given time off & a free trip
Portland or San Francisco, to visit college friends and forum friends. Can't decide which I'd choose.

Either that or I'd go to London, also to visit forum friends, and I'd take my INTP bestie with me.

I don't have one.

-time playing, as a child
Creating epic sagas in my childhood best friend's backyard, picking berries from his raspberry bushes when we got hungry and drinking from the garden hose when we got thirsty.

-body part
Hands, I think. Hands are a marvel of engineering. We wouldn't be human without them. And they don't get enough credit for that.

-question/observation about yourself - from someone else
An old friend told me once that my eyes widen a lot when I'm thinking hard about something. That always makes me smile to think about. What a weird tic. And I still have no idea why I do it or how I started.

Partly cloudy and between 55 and 75 degrees. Not too humid. Basically, fall weather.

-memory with a family member
Sitting in the bell tower at my local university, listening to my mother play the carillon.

-thing you learned in school that you actually use in 'real life'
Strangely, the 5-paragraph essay format, and all its little nuances. Everyone hates it, but I actually find that structure very helpful in organizing my thoughts persuasively.

-question you still seek an answer to
I don't have favorite questions. I like answers.

-quality you take some pride in
I like to see myself as a pillar of strength. There's some ego stake in that.

-way to blow off steam
Running.

Anything to do with wood. Freshly cut wood, wood smoke, the insides of wooden boxes, pine trees...

Second favorite is the smell of hardware stores. I'm kind of obsessed with it.

-exclamation when you are mad
"Are you fucking kidding me?"

-lie you tell yourself or others
Something else that I dislike and therefore don't have a favorite of.

-wonder found in nature
Lightning.

Also, I just learned how cool tree root systems are. So they're on the list.

-tradition you have
I don't think I have one. All my traditions are just okay and could use some improvement. Does that make me a terrible SJ?

-article of clothing or possession
My Frye engineer boots. I've had them for 8 years and they're still going strong. Not to mention they're all the more beautiful for being as old as they are.

question/observation about yourself - from someone else
I've been flattered by comments about my memory

Cool. Fall is my favourite season.

memory with a family member
mashed potatoes food fight with my sister

thing you learned in school that you actually use in 'real life'
How to write.

question you still seek an answer to
Fi

quality you take some pride in
honesty

way to blow off steam
Not really a favourite, because the only way for me to blow off steam effectively is to vent to someone

vanilla

exclamation when you are mad
what the fuck

lie you tell yourself or others
I will keep to a schedule this time

wonder found in nature
light reflected on water

tradition you have
My immediate family gets together the first Saturday of May, just to be happy and spend time together. It's low-stress and positive.

article of clothing or possession
My most treasured possession is definitely my hard drive. If there were a fire at my home, I would get my cats and the hard drive out at any cost. After that, it would depend on safety.
