Especially Happy First-Day-Of-Fall to you then, burymecloser :)

It was worth the wait EJCC (smile)

That was a great listen. Recently I visited a rain forest. Many of the trees had strangely exposed root systems. It is one of the most enchanting places I have ever visited. Had forgotten what stillness was. Absolute silence has a sound all of it's own.

Moss clung to the ground and hung from trees like pungent lace. A Cougar and her baby were lounging in a tree and seemed to blink "Imagine meeting you here?!". The slugs were the size of Andre the Giant's fist. I normally gag when I see a slug, but these were so large and beautifully patterned they seemed like altogether another creature. Cool, damp air that eventually led to what is called "The Ancient Forest". One tree stump is 27' in diameter. Wondrous!

Oh I wish I was doing a better job of describing how it felt. I will add a couple pics to at least provide visuals:

Lightning.

Also, I just learned how cool tree root systems are. So they're on the list.

Yep I gotta agree with the lightning.

Puffypolma Your answer of "heaven" took my breath away when I read it.

---

A few years ago I was sitting in line waiting to catch a ferry Haven. A girl in a car next to mine was sharing her avocado with the guy driver in that manner and I was gobsmacked as it had never occurred to me to eat it like that.

IF you feel like it would you share what board games you like to play? Have you ever played Dix It?

Yuu Regeneration!! I hadn't thought of that. I love when that quality is found in the animal kingdom...

Damn it's good to see you around!

The above coping skill is brilliant. I am going to borrow that henceforth!

One of my room-mates had a corgi named "Corgi" (smile). It was the sweetest dog. She LOVED going for walks and was so affectionate but asked so little.

Poutine ftw of course (though I truly believe your poutine in the east is superior to what's on offer in the west). :hi:

Hello again! :)

Haha the trick is to never name them after the person, and that way you can still share your stories without anyone fearing for their safety.

Awwwwww oh my goodness, they are so so cute! I'm so jealous! I feel like if I end up getting one I'm going to be the most psycho obsessed dog person ever. Got pictures of your kid? Oh that's ugly, but here's my corgi!

East as in Montreal? But of course, it's where it comes from. Not that I'm from there but just based on experience. Oddly enough however the best poutine I've had was in Calgary at a food truck. And now I'm drooling.

Ahhhh, good tip (grins)!

I hear you. I sometimes will start to regale my friends with stories about my pet, in return when they are waxing poetic about their kids. Then I am quickly reminded (by their facial expressions) that parent's don't love having their smart, funny children equated with smart, funny animals (laughs).

Oh Montreal. Stares off dreamily with stomach rumbling. Oh if you remember the name let me know! That is where my family lives. If you don't...I will just have to try them one by one I suppose. Dirty job but someone's gotta do it :p

Vacation

Intriguing! I hadn't really thought of that as a human invention and yet, it so is. Realizing that while I view vacation as standard, it's probably a luxury many in the world aren't allowed. Thanks for the thought propulsion!

Hmmm, how can I live on the coast and have never tried salmon on pizza

Hey, Friends! First of all, whoever came up with this idea, it's fun! :)superhero power - well, anyone who makes me laugh out loud can be my superhero.
technology that's now obsolete- missing the olden day telephone!
human invention - should I say paper and pen? Nothing seems to understand me (plus also tolerate me) better
place to be kissed - I'd prefer to be kissed on my neck or hand while sitting under a tree (don't get me to write another poem now, please? ;) )
pizza toppings -lost my love for pizzas after eating them day and night, sorry
person who makes you laugh - anybody, if I decide to laugh at someone, they'd have no other option but to laugh along.
-time of the day to wake up - depending on what the day holds for me; on working days, no early bird business!
-snack - fries or chocolate cake
-spot to think alone - my bedroom or the terrace
-person or place you'd visit if given time off & a free trip - but travelling means getting out of bed?! No, thank you. Yawn!
-book - comics
-time playing, as a child - every bit of it, and I still am and will always be a child!
-body part - I love my hair, my eyes, my questioning brain (when i get into science) and my heart (when i go out shopping). Crazy, i know!
-question/observation about yourself - my ability to get easily annoyed over the silliest things and stay unbreakable during the toughest times; wonder how and why I am like this!

 • from someone else - "you're a fighter" said someone who'd studied me for years; "only if you'd studied law, no lawyer could ever win against you" said my mom grudgingly! ;)
 • -weather - any pleasant day should be good. Not too sunny or too gloomy!
 • - memory with a family member - LOL! One of my favourite memories from childhood - the tantrum I created when my parents decided to give away my tricycle
 • -thing you learned in school that you actually use in 'real life' - how to safeguard your snacks from foodies ;)
 • question you still seek an answer to - am I a thinker or a feeler, but that's thinking again!
 • -quality you take some pride in - the ability to make friends with anyone in just a couple of minutes (that is, if there's nothing else running in my mind then)
 • - way to blow off steam - each time, a new way
 • -smell - petrol! The boys at the local petrol bunks laugh at me while I open the windows and inhale deeply!
 • -exclamation when you are mad - "Uff!" Meaning "maintain a distance"
 • -lie you tell yourself or others - "if this happens once again, i'll break their skull" (but hurting others, esp those who are weaker, is difficult for me)
 • - wonder found in nature - Clouds! I love them! How artistic, light, carefree and flexible!
 • -tradition you have - tradition? Nah! I have my own ways; don't know if I can call any of that 'tradition'.
 • article of clothing or possession - I'm not much into material, but then I love my jacket, handbags and handkerchiefs
Hey, CloudPatrol! This thread was fun! Keep posting more such fun stuff, friends - these serve as cool distractions from boring daily stuff! :)
