I'm not sure what you call it... it's that feeling when you see animated torch gifs on 90's websites. When your great read is a FAQ. When you load a page, a website, maybe on Geocities and realized you're now inside somebody's head. When the jagged anti-aliased interleaved images cut into your soul. Whatever that is, this is where I want to see it. I'll start, and continue a lot...

Technogypsie Productions: The Lifeways, Art, Science, Explorations, Adventures, Travels, and Services of a TechnoGypsie ...

This is clearly a relic of times past, but it's still very much alive. As far as I can tell this man did a webpage for a client as recently as 2017. The style to me is something that was a thing in the 90's, if it was ever a thing, called Technopagan. You may laugh at this man, his conviction, his sincerity, his art. But I do miss the time and place where you could be sincere, and send a call out into the aether for those of your kind. And the aether was so dark and quiet, and you were a small point of light.

How the eff did I miss this thread.

Starting off with Klaus Schulze's homepage - if the lack of flash disappoints you, the music will make up for it. :D

This site has been updated since the 90s but he still keeps archived pages from the 90s. I remember looking at this site in the high school library, the librarians complained but I argued it was about literature and shit. Note the postage stamp artwork for all the beat authors.

This site has been around since 1998 and the owner hasn't posted a new review since 2013 (the interviews section was last updated in 2009), however the forum is still quite active, with a lot of guest submitted reviews and chatter.

The design and layout has not changed much since 1998. It has a distinctly GeoCities template-esque feel, but the simplicity is part of the charm. He said it originally cost him about $180 a month to maintain, but since then he incorporated ads to pay for the site. So hopefully it will remain for a while, even if he seems to have stopped keeping it updated and maintained.

Haha, my friend who you very much remind me of kicked me this link many moons ago. Good stuff, and strangely timeless.

I can always tell when threads are yours because of the title.

I tried self publishing my titles on Amazon, but I think the mainstream publishers are sabotaging my success.

Dude, you're a regular Vaporweb Akashic records. I'm going to crawl through all these soon and get screenshots of the good stuff to post here.
