I very much enjoyed Danse Macabre. Of course, I'm funny like that.

I like the short story of The Mist. I liked the movie until the ending. They should have kept the ending that was in the book.
Why, did Darabont make the ending happier? (I wouldn't be surprised.)

Oh yeah, Lisey's Story is pretty good too.
Cell looked like a filler book.
One of those books I lump in with The Dreamcatcher, just kind of by the numbers horror that King doesn't invest a lot in. It's like he does it to clear his throat (or cache if you want a computer metaphor) so he can write something better.
Yes.. a Trunk book. He got bored, cranked it out in a week, then filed it and pulled it out when the publisher needed to make some money.
I think Insomnia isn't a Trunk book, there were a lot of ideas and threads to other works in it, it was just a mess.I put Insomnia in that same category. But you're right, maybe he uses those the same way... like instead of taking the car out for a real run, he's just dumping engine cleaner into the tank and driving around the block to scrub things out.
Dreamcatcher started with some nice characterization but went downhill from there... as soon as the plot got involved.
Prolific, isn't he.The more you swing, the more you strike out. Which ones do you think King hit out of the park?
Not enough slots for all the titles -- so comment on any you think were unfairly skipped.
