For enneagram, my best guess from the above is some combination of the tritype 269 sp/so.

I saw your post to my thread requesting for some input on your type. I'm not an expert by any means, so please be patient with me. If you don't agree, that's fine.

I do agree with what the tests are saying. My first guess, independent of the tests' read, was ExFx - as far as dichotomies go. I do agree as well with a possible Fe dom analysis. I would posit ESFJ first before ENFJ because of how you seem to relate to your faith/religion. It's not that all ESFJs are the stereotypical Bible thumper, but rather, it's my impression from studying MBTI for a while that they seek the harmony and communal aspect of being with an institution rather than the core principles of the faith. An ENFJ might seek to be in communion with the more "woo-woo" aspects of believing in a higher power, like seeing visions and to that end, using their insight to guide others. I didn't see any of that here, but maybe you're just not presenting it to me.

I won't ask any personal questions about your relationship with your beliefs, but please take into consideration what I wrote if you haven't already.

It's not that ESFJs can't be thought leaders, but they typically err on the side of caution and stick with the known and what provides the best outcome for the group based on that "known".

If you care to answer some questions:
 1. What drives your decision making, if you had to say? Is it more going with what your inner self says (i.e. a feeling you just can't shake), or past knowledge? Try to answer without thinking about it too much.
 2. What made you choose engineering? Was it a personal goal, or something someone else wanted for you?
 3. Do you have a plan for how you'll use the economics/politics major once you graduate?
 4. Are you a person who naturally pivots even when you have a plan, or do you stay pretty consistent with your plans once you make them?
Again, I'm thinking you're on the Si/Ne axis, but I'm still holding out.

If you think I could do better in helping you, let me know.

I’ll be honest and unsure about the merging with others bit (like does it mean my interests become my interests because other people are interested in something?)
In a way. It just means you become one with the person you're speaking or relating with, understanding them on a deep level. (At least, that's how I've always interpreted the question - anyone can feel free to come along and correct me.)

Tbh I only read a bit of this- but you seem like a very obvious 2. 2w1 or 2w3… idk. Honeslty it could be either. I just typed a whole bunch of shit debating it but Ive just decided on 2w1 because I think my 2w3 typing was too warped.

I think you are probably either an INFJ or an ENFJ. Honestly, I think ENFJ weirdly even tho we dont see a ton of that sort. But. Your self description reads more extroverted than Id even attribute to the most ambiaverted INFJ- and the level of self confidence in most of your answers just- it seems very Fe aux with… well. Self confirming Ni behind it. Fe has a mission, Ni strongly determines its mission is the correct one.

I hope none of this is offensive. None of it is consciously meant to be. But Id say ENFJ 217. Not 9. Not 6. Not 4. Not 5, though you do read as having… clumsy Ti. I could see an argument for Te. But I think its more Se tert that could be mistaken for Te. ENFJS too I think dont get enough credit for being as assertive as they are.

In any case, welcome. Havent read anyone elses posts, so Idk if my opinion is the same, but yeah. Thats what I think! So/sx. Or sx/so. Sp last. But could be either sx/so or so/sx.

Hello! Thank you for responding, I really appreciate your analysis and I absolutely don't find it offensive, it was very helpful and in fact, this is why I'm having my problem (I can't tell if I use Fe dominantly, especially when analysing more other (likely) Fe-dom users in my own life, for example) I am interested to know why you think my Ti is clumsy though (I can understand your argument about Te, but how Ti would be expressed is the thing I'm aiming to pin down, because I don't think you're trying to say Ti is passive in expression ).

I am definitely more ambiverted than extroverted though (Though I do think people assume I'm extroverted because I tend to connect with people deeply, quite quickly but I'd argue my ability to do this is more of a developed skill ( the quickness of it, combined with my love of socialising generally). But for me, it's understanding that people aren't scary and do desire to connect with others but being more risk-averse can hinder this and I'm willing to put myself out there and take the leap, if need be), not that the general definitions really have impact on dichotomy.

Fe with ENFJ is different imo than Fe with ESFJs. Irs almost a completely different animal sometimes. With ESFJs, the Fe is usually immediately socially driven- concerned with connecting directly with those around them, and therefore it usually comes across imo as softer than the Fe I associate with some ENFJs. With some ENFJs, especially those with any sort of 1 influence, Fe can be very… virtue focused. It can be less focused on immediate connection to “individuals” and more focused on social heavy causes. This is commonly, or at least somewhat commonly, religion. As another negative that may be unfair, I believe Fe/Ni Ni/Fe(to a lesser extent) with 1w2 or 2w1 is a pretty stereotypical type for a cult leader. Not saying you are that- just saying that… Fe/Ni is different and much more globally focused than Fe/Si usually.

This again isnt always a bad thing. Ni/Fe Fe/Ni, because of their ability to look both globally and socially- can be great leaders/conduits for change. These are the people who believe in what they are saying and are usually willing to, sometimes very stubbornly, fight for it. Because they are usually very sure of themselves a lot of the time they will put the assurance in what they are doing, and the results that they hope for from being so assured, ahead of socially comforting other people. If other people are wrong, a lot of the time it is more important for the ENFJ to let them know about it than it is for them to feel “ok” about their wrongness. This can make Fe look like Te- because when it gets to this point Fe can be very blunt/direct- because they think that what they are saying is too important to not be.

I think this is especially common among ENFJ males- idk if you are male but if you were it would make more sense to me, not that its not possible also with females, because men are usually taught that comforting others isnt… their main focus. Sometimes men are even bullied when they do show direct concern for other individuals. With woman, the conflict between softening Fe/Ni and staying true to their own values- is probably a lot more constant. With men, the lean is stronger to the values side.

The clumsy Ti, well. Honestly, it seemed sort of apparent from your first paragraph to me. You arent stupid, and Im definitely not saying you are, but your verbiage seemed forced and overly complex for what you were trying to say. Its totally normal to have a good vocabulary, especially when you read a ton, but with real high Ti users the good vocabulary is usually mixed with more relaxed terminology. It seems natural, because its as incorporated into their vocabulary as any other word. Your Ti seemed clumsy because it seemed almost “too Ti”. Its like a high Ti user trying to be socially accepted/use Fe. Usually its awkward and obvious because its too… blatantly socially desperate without having the act social skill to make people comfortable. Its forced. Maybe not consciously, but its not “them” if you know what I mean.

I may type more later but Im at work currently so Ill let you go for now!

@KarinoTheEnigma Functions are expressed by a person in the function order of their type.

Hello everyone, I hope you're all well. I am curious to see how people actually would see my type. contrary to popular belief, I do like the mbti and it's too bad it doesn't get enough cred, because of 16personalities and cognitive functions are intriguing. I personally love typing people and see if others would agree.

Fe (social)

But I've been so intrigued by my type recently, I do definitely agree with types not changing but evolving on the basis of you growing up and refining your brain to the changing world around you, but I wonder what that looks like for me. I've been typed INTJ, INFJ , ENFJ and at some point ISTJ (but that was quite a depressive state so unsure if that had an effect).

Si (the past)
I don't think me being an introvert/extrovert matters as cognitive functions don't tend to work in that way, in my opinion but I've mainly been having problems seeing if I'm an INFJ / ENFJ or maybe even ESFJ (being an Fe-dom or Ni-dom / whether I’m mistaking Ni for Ne) or any other type - I am more so curious if you guys can see my type based on my responses, as even though the tests can give me insight, I can only imagine how others would verify that and would love to hear the reasoning behind it.
Ne (possibilities)

while I do expect variation, I find it interesting to know how our interpretations of others affect the judgement of ourselves and how we interact with the world and I think knowing more about that, will help me interact with people better, even if it isn’t perfect.

Ti, probably (knowledge, perfection)

I continued it a bit into your questionnaire, but I don't really type accurately by questionnaires.

Btw I'm not so sure of the Ti bit. I could have skipped over Ti and gone to Fi.

Also, can't edit my posts.

I'm most sure of the Fe and Ne.

My method is how you type people through text. It's the best way I know how.

The fact that you start with the social aspect suggests that you are Fe dominant. Check your other posts and see if it's a trend.

That is all.
