What if it's not OK?

I was riding home from work today when I saw a poster for Children's Hospital that said: "It'll be OK."

I wonder if having things "be OK" is a luxury. The whole idea and sentiment of it. Fact of the matter is that it won't always be OK. A good portion of the time it will verifiably not be OK and won't change to being OK. Is telling people something will be alright when it won't be fair? We can look across the world and see that for some people it has never been OK and will never be OK (at least during their lifetime).

I'm not talking about hopelessness or pessimism or "hope for the best, prepare for the worse" just kind of acknowledging reality so it can be dealt with in a healthy manner. More or less like "it is what it is." Will some things ever change?

That's a terrible ad. Is that all it said? Was there a picture?

Life isn't that cut and dry. I mean sometimes having things OK is acceptable while other times you need life to be exceptional.

UPDATE

I saw another ad for this today with the slogan "More Than Words."

That made me very relieved. It wasn't on the other ad I saw and I was kinda flabbergasted about why they would just say that with no additional commentary, becauese then they'd just be empty words.

:nice:
