I really do hope Biden wins. I’m going to vote either tomorrow or Tuesday, it’s gonna take a shot or two of 151 to pull the lever for those two cops, both of whom were my absolute last choices among the dem field, but I’m doing it.

Lauren Chen may be a Nazi but I’d hit it and smack her forehead with my leftist penis afterwards. I bet she’s wild in bed too. She’s hot

I still am not convinced all of the proud boys are nazis. Several POC members as well as white proud boys who are in interracial marriages. It just doesn’t quite jibe with the news narratives about them.

Edit I’m drunk

On Tuesday, democracy really does live or die. I never bought that narrative in every other single election, but I believe it now

My understanding is their leader is Hispanic or Cuban? Mixed stuff.

This is Achille Demagbo. He is a member of the Bundestag for the AfD, the most rightwing party in the German parliament. He was born in Benin and is against "flooding Germany with Africans because there are just too many of them".

This is the logo of "Jews in the AfD", an organisation of Jewish AfD members (24 of them on the day of its foundation). The head of the AfD parliamentary group called the Third Reich "bird shit" (small pickles) and claims Germans should be proud of the achievements of German soldiers during both World Wars.

This is Alice Weidel, head of the AfD. The AfD is homophobic and against the migration of non-whites. Weidel lives in a lesbian relationship with a woman from Sri Lanka.

Man internalized racism on that level must be a bitch.

Looks like she also wants to encourage stimulating the economies in middle eastern countries, could you elaborate on those policies, as I know Jack shit about German policy?

From looks of it, she doesn’t want to leave EU, just wants to retain some sovereignty for Germany. Can you elaborate on Weidel please?

Just tell me more than I can learn from Wikipedia, please. She’s interesting

I could read news articles but I have the rare opportunity speak to an actual German citizen and get their perspective

Where are you getting that from?

Pennsylvania sees record early voting turnout

538 shows Biden as pretty stable there. The Battleground States Where We’ve Seen Some Movement In The Polls | FiveThirtyEight

It's now a week before the election. Yesterday was the four year anniversary of Comey's dumbass letter.

Obviously, I don't know for certain, and I could be wrong, but I'd put money on Biden winning at this point. If you asked me a year ago if I'd be saying that about a Biden-Trump matchup, I'd say you were crazy. I was certain that Biden winning the primaries would mean Trump would win a second term. I have said so many times, both here and elsewhere. But COVID has really made GOP incompetence front and center for people in a very tangible way. It's really changed the game. It's made Biden's appeal for a "return to normal" (as bogus as that might be) seem much more palatable to people. I think the October surprise this time was Trump getting Covid. He got owned, and even though he may personally recover from that, it looks increasingly like his reelection won't.

This doesn't feel at all like 2016 (or 2004) for me. I'm not seeing the silence folks had in 2016 while right-wingers cheered Trump on. To me it seems like there's much more enthusiasm on the Democratic side this time around. I thought Biden would be another John Kerry. He isn't, though. Thank God, I really don't want to see Biden windsurf with his hairy legs that turn blond in the sun.

Well, record early turnout can still be fairly low turnout. Above your post there is a link that I constantly repeat since from there I use certain numbers.
My point was made at the time when the numbers for the Pennsylvania were only about a half of what they seemed in Michigan and Wisconsin at the time, which were pretty mediocre states in this regard. The numbers for PA started rising lately but towards the link it's turnout isn't that impressive, 34.3% of 2016. But as I repeat, I am not sure that I have 100% correct numbers.

It doesn't look like 34%, though. It looks like it's already surpassed the mail-in vote for 2016. Did you mean total vote in 2016?

Yeap, total of 2016.
But just today the number got up by something like 10% of the whole 2016. So if they continue like this they can still have a decent percentage on election day morning. There are some legal shenanigans in the state as far as I gathered, so that is probably delaying the vote.

Well, in that case, it's not a direct comparison. It's impossible to know the full turnout until election day.

Yes, but take a look at that list and the link few posts up. Many states are going towards having the whole 2016 just in early vote, so from that perspective PA lags if the numbers are true. What will be on the election day we will see but it is probably better to have more early voting if you like "team blue".

The fact that early vote is approaching 2016 is rather incredible and it's not something I would expect to happen. I wouldn't assume it's bad just because it isn't happening everywhere.

We have our first (and perhaps only, ever) establishment outsider president who is ending wars and fostering legitimate peace in the world while growing our local economy, incentivizing and equipping people with the tools to provide for themselves- and people are actually letting war mongering establishment neocons and wealth sucking crony behemoths manipulate them into getting rid of the guy threatening to liberate people from their systemic dependency.

Biden's foreign policy will be terrible, but Trump's also done lots of drones strikes, surpassing Obama at this point, I believe. He hasn't really done anything with ground troops, but that doesn't mean that there haven't been shenanigans. It's similar to Nixon ending the ground war in Vietnam but continuing airstrikes.

Unfortunately U.S. foreign policy is something that is usually "off the table" in elections.

A positive of a Biden presidency would be that AOC would get to vote on legislation that might actually get passed. It'd be nice for folks besides mega corps to get some relief from Covid.
