The Criminal-in-Chief just fired Director of Cybersecurity Chris Krebs for merely telling the truth about the election. The problem is, the truth was in conflict with the Don the Con's narrative.

Well, I've used SNAP before, too. I doubt I'm the only here who has.

Oh no I understand but how loud have you heard the right claim it's all immigrants and lazy blacks that get food stamps? I've also used SNAP benefits and WIC when my boys were little and imo, these programs should be expanded greatly. It's such a minimal amount of the dept. of agriculture budget.

Certainly nothing compared to the bloated defense budget. But contractors make a lot of money from that.

I grew up with my family often needing food stamps. Idaho is already majorly fucking stupid about this stuff anyway, get this...

my mother is not eligible for food stamps anymore because her and my little siblings disability incomes together are too large. I kid you not. This happened before me and my older brother were adults and I thought it was positively insane.

Update:

Unbelievable. Republican appointees on a key board in Michigan’s most populous county Tuesday night reversed their initial refusal to certify the vote tallies in the Detroit area, striking a last-minute compromise with Democrats that defused a political fight over the process to formalize President-elect Joe Biden’s victory in the state.

I thought it was funny how Trump was tweeting all over that in excitement... only to be sucker punched when they reversed the decision.

Now #2 just quit because #1 was fired.

update: Judging from the resulting tweet splatterstorm, he did not take it well.

When is this going to end? They lost / had thrown out almost every court case, and I think the one regarding distance from PA poll counters now has been shot down by SCOPA, and even the two dissenters are against tossing so many legitimate votes over what amounts to a technical issue. Like, he's got nothing.

Also, I think the two-month rule to step down / ease the transition made sense if everyone is playing by the rules, but now of course we have yet another season of norm-shattering where real damage is permitted to be done by a lame duck who refuses to honor principle and past practice.

This is like a case of us having hired someone to find all the flaws and loopholes in our current political and legal process. Are we going to be able to plug them up, after?

Now it's apparently the Philly mob who got Joe Biden elected.

Fact check: Dominion voting machines didn't delete votes from Trump, switch them to Biden

from the article:
"In fact, the security group — which includes the Department of Homeland Security's Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency and the National Association of State Election Directors — described the election as "the most secure in American history."

"Dominion calls the claim from Trump that its machines deleted 941,000 votes for him in Pennsylvania alone "impossible."

That's because Dominion only serves 14 counties in the state, which produced a total of 1.3 million votes — 52%, or 676,000, of which went to Trump. That only leaves 624,000 other votes, fewer than what Trump claims were switched."
I hope the firm sues Trump for libel.

I've been honestly kind of hoping Trump gets hit with an absolute shitstorm of libel suits come January 21. If only to prove 99% of the bullying/smearing he's done is completely unsubstantiated pejorative improvised on the spot to smear.

That's what I meant earlier when I said, regardless of any personal feelings of loathing people might have towards him, he needs to have his feet held to the fire just to draw hard lines of what was true and what was not. So it all becomes widely known.

I doubt his followers are hearing the fine detail of how each court case is getting tossed and why. There simply is no case that stands up in court, and they're not even arguing about fraud in court recently at this point, regardless of the tweeting -- it's typically been about the technical process of how legitimate votes were handled.

While it might feel personal, it's also a public service to cut through all the smokescreens and blather.

I know someone who would be very much in favor of that.
