The map is not the territory.
And right now we are looking at a.map. We are not looking at print, as we might suppose, we are looking at an image, an image of print.
The effects of images, and the effects of print, are quite different.
Print creates the literate individual, while images create tribalism, such as Identity Politics.
We print the phonetic alphabet, and we dance to Rock 'N' Roll. And R n R obliterates the phonetic alphabet, R n R obliterates the literate individual, and calls them, "Squares", and replaces them with the new tribalism. Cool.
Rock 'N' Roll are the shock troops of our new tribalism.
And both traditional tribes and the new electronic tribes love to dance.
