Do other INFJs (or members of other types) have their version of a "crystal ball"?
I don't mean literally a crystal ball, although it could literally be one if you're so inclined, but rather some kind of magical/etc device that you turn to to give you answers.
I guess for Si the equivalent might be an "encyclopedia", literally or otherwise.
Do you relate?

I'm thinking that there may be a kind of physical item or place relating to each function that we turn to for expressions of that function; in this case I'm referring to Ni, with an NF flavour to it, but there'd hypothetically be a similar concept relating to each function/function pair. Just getting the ball rolling with this particular example
For me, and I'm hesitant to use language like "crystal ball" and "magical" in this case but it points to what I'm talking about, is the Holy Bible. When in doubt, I open it and read a passage, and more often than not I receive wisdom regarding whatever kind of dilemma I'm facing. I'd be lost without it!
My mind works in a similar fashion; I speak to my spirits who give me advice on anything I ask, or things I hadn't thought to ask. I don't know the "rational" explanation for how this works. You could consider it "channeling the unconscious" and that would probably reveal the process somewhat, but only partially.
