Well, objectively speaking this is the closest we got. Not even Cuban missile crisis was this hot.
In the other hand it is funny how people further and further away from the"fault line" are more and more panicking over stuff like this. I have Ukrainian refugees moving into may street, at my local grocery story they employed one other Ukrainian lady. Economy clearly wobbles. Plus through the bedroom window I see mountains on the horizon that are controlled by openly Pro-Russian separatists. However I made my peace long ago over the fact that I am in bind.

Most folks further away have only just woken up to the reality that they're bound up in something they have no control over. Im more concerned over the climate change and how we've got around ten years at best if we keep on like we've kept on. For me the irritation comes from the same frustration of the Tide CEO

That is a statement that actually makes sense. The internet has it's fare share of anti-women videos and they all tend to have far right leaning if you take a closer look. What means that all these people probably do have dating problems. What indicates that they are watching a fair amount of porn. What is then likely to cause insecurities or wrong impressions.

A lot of my hobbies take me down to the valley...where I see many faces both canny and un. I sometimes wonder how much of my fascination with studying the uncanny valley has to do with being neurodivergent...I have been called an AI by people I know since the movie with Haley Joel Osment game out, and before that, Not Quite Human(an older Disney film, and its sequel Not Quite Human too.)((But I digress)) The point is, Ive started seeing commercials wherein Deepfakes are used, and Im worried for the older generations. I'm having to try to coach my parents on the way scams are updating....since covid my parent have gotten hooked into social media like a lot of people(I got snagged by it myself) But Im paranoid and pessimistic about marketing so I tend to be suspicious of the spectacle and whimsy, but with the public face of grifting trying to change, we've got to remember that lying and running a grift is a skill like any other, it takes practice to hone the craft, and pretty much all fortune 500 companies pay lots of money and expend lots of resources to connect with people who run marketing scams legally...this is going to blur those lines further. Educate yourself, and talk to your kids parents. about the dangers of drugs and alco- I mean multilevel marketing scams and the uncanny valley...because the rube you save from a potentially ruinous scam...could be yourself.

In the same time period the number of heat days has trippled. Summer draughts have increased, winters have become wetter. We have already crossed the 1,5°C line.

The effects on flora and fauna are palpable. Aggriculture is also suffering.

While the Summer heath strikes and related water problems are becoming far bigger problem than the problems that winter is bringing at this point. However since our continent should be the one that is heating up the fastest it really is no wonder that this is the case. To be honest I think it is time to start digging in and preparing for major mess. Especially since developing nations wouldn't give up on their carbon based energy anytime soon. While there is not even remotely enough time, political will or money to push them over the line in time. Not to mention that we passed the mark of 8 billion living people on the planet. It really is becoming obvious how all of this is going to end.
