I got the rain barrel set up yesterday. I was only able to clean one section of gutter because I was too short to reach more even with a ladder, but it was enough. I'm pretty sure I used the wrong kind of blade on the saw, but it worked anyway. I had one sunny day to get it done. It started raining last night so now I have a full barrel. It's not beautiful, but I don't think it's horrible, either and it might just save us a little money.

We took Raven out to Pizza Hut with my step-dad D and my brother N, then we came home and had cake. Raven was happy to see N and I think she had a nice time.

Don got me the sweetest anniversary card. I hanged it up on a nail in the wall by my desk. :wubbie:

Apparently my mom has my phone number now. When the phone rang just now, a local number with the name of her husband's father showed up on my caller ID. I'm not very happy about this. I'm glad I don't have an answering machine. Really glad.

My step-dad is going to be staying with us for awhile, so we've gotten a room kind of set up for him. He had gone through detox, a strict in-house treatment program, and almost three months of a halfway house kind of set up. He's wanting to transition back to his own place, but he can't save up for getting his utilities turned back on while he's paying to stay at the halfway house, so he's crashing here for awhile. Hopefully it will work out and he will stay clean and get on his feet.

I might take a nap later. The weather or something is messing with my sinuses and it doesn't feel good.
