I pulled a Radar O'Reilly on my ISTJ boss today! It was awesome!! While the words were still coming out of her mouth... the list she was asking for just happened to be in my hand, so I nonchalantly handed it to her... with the names on it all highlighted and everything. She proceeded to declare, "You're wonderful... Wonderful!"

I'm not writing this down to brag... just to remind myself... someday when I'm feeling like a loser and that no one would ever want to hire me... and that I don't have any value in the workplace. I can remember that this woman, who has been around a long time, and worked with, and supervised, hundreds of people in her lifetime... has judged the quality of my work to be excellent.

I really thrive under positive feedback, so I'm grateful that she is generous with her appreciation. My self-esteem has been long in need of some encouragement.

That is awesome. I think it is amazing that corporate america still hasn't figured out how far a pat on the back goes. Well, on top of merit raises.

Yeah. I know.
I've been working on it for a very long time.
I had a very rough childhood.
Still healing.
Thanks for the hug.
