I've never been happier to have an organ removed from my body. That thing had me in pain for a little over 20 hours. They were giving me a lot of morphine, but nothing would take the pain away. I was relieved when a surgeon came to talk to me.
The surgery went very well. It was much easier than a c-section, i'm hardly in any pain at all. I haven't felt like eating, since the surgery, not sure why, but food looks disgusting, which is very odd for me. I don't think i've ever felt that way about food. I'm supposed to eat low fat foods until my body gets used to digesting without my gallbladder. The surgeon let me see my gallbladder a few hours after my surgery, and that thing was gross. He showed me what a normal gallbladder was supposed to look like, and mine was super inflamed, and when he cut it open it was FULL of gallstones, i almost threw up, it was awesome.
