I pretty well knew this when I first started reading about INTJ. I'm not self-confident, ambitious, and so on. A few INTJs here confirmed that they are most if not all of these things. INTJs sound like people our society needs, but it's just not me.
So now, the list from most likely to least likely:
INFP
INFJ
INTJ
I still don't understand how a lot of the abstractions in the descriptions I find actually translate into people and the things they do. However, I understood most of the things said about INTJs. Maybe this is significant; maybe I've reached a type that I can at least understand.
INTP is looking good; when reading the description in Please Understand Me, I was thinking, yes, and yes, and maybe, and yes. With INTJ I was thinking mostly, no way. I still don't think I'm INTP, but at least maybe his cousin. Even "sister" is possible. I'll research it some more.
