So obviously from my Victoria Winters avatar, I am watching Dark Shadow's from the beginning of series. I never could get into it as a child, I never had patience for much TV then. I preferred to read.

However, it was when my sisters were watching Dark Shadows that I first saw something from the 1700's/early 1800's in the time travel/flashback episodes and the scene pierced me through. I knew I wanted to know more about that time period, I felt a calling in my heart like I wanted to be able to interject myself into that time period and felt a deep sense of failing and despair that I knew I never could. A strange deep nostalgia for I time I can never be a part of. So that was my start with being fascinated with history.

Then I saw the movies about the Bronte sister's novels and felt the same gnashing longing to disappear into the past. Very strange. No one else in my family even really likes history much.

Was she Angelique? I used to watch it in the afternoons after school. Loved it.

The character is Victoria Winters, from the begining of the series.

Oh, I don't remember her. I thought VW was the name of the actress. And I totally spaced on "Collinwood" in your location until you mentioned Dark Shadows. Thanks for the memories.

She looks a lot like my mother in that pic. That's kind of weird for me. :)

If reincarnation is real I want to be me again.

Hey Heart that happens to me too. Not with real life history though...with books I read...I wish I could exist in the book's reality instead of this one and I get the same feelings you described. BTW I love how you described that...I knew exactly what you meant...I think you have a gift for putting things into words...I've seen it in your other posts too.

Oh. Oops. I hope you don't mind that I read your blog. Sorry if it was an intrusion. I won't read anymore if you don't want me to.
