Referred to me via Facebook--- I really like the stuff in Magenta Magic and italics.
Impulsive
You trust your your instincts. What others may see as rash behavior is, for you, simply going with your gut.
You are not timid. For you, spending time microscopically examining the pros and cons of every decision means never getting anything accomplished.I think this is a sign of my poor logic. When I'm talking about an "intellectual" topic I have to be very linear or I'll forget my point. This seems incompatible with my curious nature, but I don't think things out very far. I do and I don't, it's hard to explain.
Individuals with a high score on the "impulsive" trait tend to try new, sometimes outrageous, things and often are fans of rap/hip-hop music.
Curious
You like to get to the bottom of things. You're not content knowing what someone did; you want to know why they did it.
You don't simply take things as they are and move on; you're not content skimming along on the surface; you don't feel you're wasting time by digging for the meaning of things.
Inefficient I keep telling people I'm a horrible J...
You like to live your life without plans, and when you do have a plan you're happy to ignore it. While you're not necessarily opposed to getting work done, you're very good at finding other ways to spend your time.
You are not anal, or even particularly well organized. You don't enjoy sticking to your plans, and don't mind when you don't finish on time.
Original
You are constantly coming up with new ideas. For you, the world as it exists is just a jumping-off place; what's going on inside your mind is often more interesting than what's going on outside.
You don't feel that the road to success is to be a realist and stick to the program; you never stop yourself from coming up with new ideas or telling the world what you're thinking about. Hmmm, I'd rather do what's realistically feasible and more likely to happen. I like to get ideas from people and pick the ones that are doable. I also like the far fetched improbable ones to aim towards in the future.
Warm
You have a genuine interest in other people. You're a natural host, and are always thinking about how you can increase the happiness of those around you. When friends have problems or are in trouble, you're usually the first person they turn to for aid and comfort.
You don't always say exactly what you're thinking; you don't like the idea of causing anyone pain because of your criticism.
Scoring high on the "warm" trait suggests that you are among those who enjoy domestic activities - doing things around the house - and are enthusiastic about charitable work, helping others, and making the world a better place.
Understanding
You are willing to take the time to find out what's going on with other people, especially if they're in distress. You're a good listener, you don't criticize, and you offer unbiased, respectful, honest advice when it's requested.I imagine myself as that friend people have that will tell them the truth about themselves (and hopefully have it returned) without getting a glass bottle broken over my head.
You don't feel the need to impose your standards on others or say things that, even though true, cause pain.
With a high score on the "understanding" trait, it is likely that you are enthusiastic about charitable work, helping others, and making the world a better place.
Aesthetic
You appreciate art, beauty, and design; you know that they are not superficial but absolutely crucial to living the good life. You have good taste, and you're proud of it.I think this is how I access my Fi. I really enjoy art as an expression of self and I enjoy people expressing themselves through what they create. I do find it to be inspiring.
You don't think it's pretentious to be moved by art and beauty. You're not one of those who believe it doesn't matter what something looks like as long as it does its job.My INTJ friend recently left for grad school
cry: I've taken this so much harder than what I've let on. I think I feel kinda bereft...I'm not sure. I don't feel happy but I'm happy for him that he's finally starting to accomplish what he wants personally and professionally. He's not been happy for a few years and he's finally beginning to be hopeful about the future) and I bought him to useless home decorating items. He just looked at me and was like "what the fuck am I supposed to do with this?!" It was so hilarious. I like useless objects!
Those with a high score on the "aesthetic" trait are often employed in literary or artistic professions, enjoy domestic activities - doing things around the house - and are enthusiastic about the arts, reading, and travel.
RecklessThe bane of my current existence
You tend to give in to your impulses and indulge your cravings. Rather than fight your emotions, you often do what comes naturally, which means occasionally overdoing it, sometimes even embarrassing yourself.
You are not good at resisting temptation and avoiding overindulgence; you are not the kind of person who doesn't regret anything you said or did. oh boy...
Poised
You tend to feel at home wherever you find yourself, even in unfamiliar settings, with new people. It takes a lot to rattle you, and when rattled you recover quickly and gracefully. It's somewhat difficult for me to explain to people how I can be excitable and still pretty unruffled. I don't internally feel emotional or UNCALM (grrrr). I know what I'm feeling inside. I guess it seems incongruent and I'm working on underreacting
sleeping
, people think your wigging out but you're not really. I know when I'm experiencing intense emotion and my family knows me well enough to tell the difference. I actually get quiet because I'm afraid I may throw something (it's happened.
)
You are usually not self-conscious or nervous when you're in an unfamiliar environment or with people you don't know.
Empathetic
You are in touch with your own feelings, which helps put you in touch with the feelings of others.
You don't buy the logic that your happiness comes ahead of everyone else's because unless you're happy you're incapable of making anyone else happy.
YES YES YES!!! I know that we need to work on ourselves and it would be quite hypocritical to preach one thing and do another, but I so strongly believe that just because I'm in a foul mood or everything in my life is FUBAR it would be fake or superficial for me to bring other people into the doldrums with me. It's not their problem, it's mine. I'm not going to make my issues other people's issues in the name of being authentic. That's so selfish to me and people that do that are albatrosses around the necks of others. It's OK not to be cheery and sunshine all the time, but it kills people motivation and desire to be around people that don't know how to regulate themselves towards and around others when they're in a negative feedback loop.
