If you're someone friend, this is something you should be to that person. Loyal. You don't always have to take sides when they're in a conflict to be loyal.
Taaj is one of my favorite friends because he's so loyal to all of his friends. He's not the most caring friend I have [though he's up there with the best of them in terms of caring and kindness.].
When others have some reason or another to hate me [usually a misunderstanding for the most part] he always ignores the rumors and treats me nice based on our personal friendship.
e.g. There was a thing going on about how I'm a crooked shady thief because $200.00 went missing in someone's house while I was the only one around. During this time I lost a lot of friends who weren't personally involved because they "couldn't trust me" [which seemed more like they were bootlicking the girl who was out $200.00 cause they wanted in her pants]. Eventually it turned out she misplaced her $200 in her room. The whole time Taaj was one of about 3 people who didn't treat me like a thief, doing usual things like letting me guard his x-box when no one else was around, or letting me borrow it for a week when he didn't know where I lived since I had recently moved. After everything cleared up people still treated me like a thief, even though it was proven I didn't do it. There was also no apology offered to me.
At a party some girl had sex with a friend of mine [unknown to me at the time] then made out with me and had sex with me too. Then she had sex with someone else at the party. Later she said that all three of us raped her. Another girl said she was full of shit. After she said this Ryan, my friend, wasn't talked about as if he was a rapist anymore. People still treated me as if I was though even after the girl who claimed I did was caught in her lies and confessed it didn't happen people still treated me like trash. Taaj never did.
Most people seem to stab you in the back once it seems like it's in their best interest. Like Steve. He needed somewhere to stay. I let him move in with me and introduced him to a lot of people while he was staying with me. Those people got him a job and so on. Then he met a group that had a lot, socially, to offer in terms of parties to go to and girls. They talked bad about me a lot. He would never have met them if not for me. He stopped talking to me and treated me like trash just cause everyone else did. Said things about me behind my back and made up stories like the rest of them.
Personally I'm very distant from most people because of things like this. I'm not a mean person. I'm not perfect. I just don't trust people anymore. No ones loyal
