I finally finished the first draft of the second story that I had to write for the night class I'm taking. To say the least, I'm not happy with it. The first story that I wrote was fun to write, but this time it was more a matter of being too far along to quit when I got bored beyond belief writing about the idea that I was working on.

So now I've got a week to polish it up so it won't be completely ridiculed in our class discussion, but I really wish I'd run with another idea. Too late now, though, so it's what I've got.

I don't think i'll be taking another writing class in the near future though. History maybe, but I'm re-finding that so much of the academic experience is dealing with *who* came up with an idea rather than what makes the idea interesting. Oh well, still glad I tried it - it was time to get out a bit :D.
