There is no need to contradict the Bible for the Bible contradicts itself.
That means you misinterpreted it.
There is no need to contradict the Bible for the Bible contradicts itself.
That means you misinterpreted it.Whether you believe it's fact or fiction, the truth remains, there are no contradictions. I understand it's a complex read, and that's why there are universities and scholars that teach Greek and Hebrew translations. It's an incredible book.
Gosh, it is a book without a sense of humour.
And as we lose our sense of humour when we are enchanted, so the Bible was written in a trance, and entrances the reader today.
And there are so many contradictions in the Bible, I wouldn't know where to start. At one point it tells us Jesus is the messiah because He is descended from King David through Joseph, but at another point we are told that Joseph is not the father of Jesus. This is a clear contradiction.
And the three Abrahamic religions, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam are founded on the story of Abraham where God ordered Abraham to hogtie his son Isaac and stand over him with a butcher's knife, ready to cut up Isaac while he was alive.
The Bible does not ask us to imagine how Isaac felt. And none of the Abrahamic religions has asked us to imagine how Isaac felt.
And this is plainly a case of child abuse, where the feelings of the victim are totally and systematically ignored.
No wonder all of the Abrahamic religions have practised child abuse over centuries and covered it up.
Normally the idea of death terrifies me... but after reading these accounts in the OP, I feel strangely calm. Maybe some of these people who had such a premonition about their own deaths were able to find their peace in their last moments. Perhaps that's what I'd feel if I knew I was about to die...
Michael Landon’s Demon Masters Escorted Him to Hell
....at his death, with his life almost extinguished, Landon experienced frightening visions of what awaited him on the other side. His daughter recalls that he was “hearing voices.†(208) She elaborates:
“He raised his fists and clawed at the air. I heard him mumbling…’No, not yet,’ he said clearly, ‘I’m not ready. No, I don’t want to go.’…The nurse told us Dad had spent the night raising his hands and pawning at the air as though he was trying to keep something away.†(210)
The evil spirits who puppeteered Landon through his life turned on him as they claimed his soul at his death....
He was thrashing, just thrashing about, moaning and groaning. It was like a battle was going on.... I didn’t know anything about spiritual battles. But it was scary to me because I could feel it. It was like light and darkness. It was like he was fighting against something. I didn’t know what, but now I know, he was seeing the vision of hell.â€

I'm in a hurry at the moment, so I can't respond to everything you said, but I will return and reply again when I have time. I see things from a different perspective than you, which is that man disrespected and abused its creator and father. The Bible teaches God's amazing love for mankind and that's the big picture. Those that get stuck in the weeds, as with anything in life, become the perpetual victim. That's not me. I'm guessing, the story of Abraham and Isaac teaches us God's mercy that can be likened (or is a foreshadowing) to the sacrifice of God's only son, Jesus. Let's not forget how man crucified Christ. And all of the horrible stuff man does. If they would just follow God's perfect plan, things would go well for them. It's like how we, as good parents try to raise our children to do good and be productive and respectful because ultimately it makes for a smooth, successful life.
KNOWING THAT YOU ARE ABOUT TO DIE | Michael Tymn blog on White Crow Books
Do people know when their time is up?
In her intriguing 2010 book, Messages, Bonnie McEneaney, the wife of one of the victims of 9/11, tells about her husband having some kind of premonitions, or precognition, that his days were numbered. “I’m going to die before you,†Eamon McEneaney told her in a somewhat matter-of-fact manner on September 4, 2001, a week before the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center, where Eamon worked in mortgage-backed securities. Bonnie McEneaney says that her husband always believed that he would die young and, in the weeks preceding the disaster, seemed to have a sense that something monumental was immin
My maternal grandfather was in the hospital for liver cancer, and it might've been the drugs but in the weeks before he died he kept talking about how his father (long dead) was at the door and waiting for him. He would have long conversations with his father saying that he didn't want to go. He would thrash about like someone was trying to pull him. He passed away shortly after.
My maternal grandmother had been hospitalised for problems with her kidneys after being on high bp medication for many years and one night one of my aunts (whom grandma had been living with) dreamt that grandma came home, didn't say anything to her, and went straight to the telephone. When my aunt asked her who she was calling, she smiled gently and said "Dad" (grandpa above). The next day, we heard that she fell in the hospital bathroom and suffered a massive stroke. My family decided not to keep her on life support because she would have no quality of life.. and she passed away soon after.
My paternal grandmother passed away very suddenly; she too had a stroke at home. My cousin who was very young (early teens) was very close to her, and had a dream that she came to visit him and told him to "be good". When my aunt found my grandmother, my cousin already "knew".
I'm a pretty scientific and logical person, but I do believe that there are things that we will never be able to measure or understand.
