That means you misinterpreted it.
Whether you believe it's fact or fiction, the truth remains, there are no contradictions. I understand it's a complex read, and that's why there are universities and scholars that teach Greek and Hebrew translations. It's an incredible book.
Gosh, it is a book without a sense of humour.
And as we lose our sense of humour when we are enchanted, so the Bible was written in a trance, and entrances the reader today.
And there are so many contradictions in the Bible, I wouldn't know where to start. At one point it tells us Jesus is the messiah because He is descended from King David through Joseph, but at another point we are told that Joseph is not the father of Jesus. This is a clear contradiction.
And the three Abrahamic religions, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam are founded on the story of Abraham where God ordered Abraham to hogtie his son Isaac and stand over him with a butcher's knife, ready to cut up Isaac while he was alive.
The Bible does not ask us to imagine how Isaac felt. And none of the Abrahamic religions has asked us to imagine how Isaac felt.
And this is plainly a case of child abuse, where the feelings of the victim are totally and systematically ignored.
No wonder all of the Abrahamic religions have practised child abuse over centuries and covered it up.
