I love that exchange. In fact, I love that character and his wry wall-breaking.

Makes you wonder to what extent the obstructionist Republican party is orchestrating these events by design. It is without question that the Republicans are doing as little as they can possibly get away with in order for the economy to collapse under Biden to further their narrative of how the radical left will destroy this country yadda yadda ect. I just wonder how deep the well actually goes. Is the majority of the Republican party compromised? Whether by design, default or pure ignorance, whether or not Donald Trump is an agent of Vladimir Putin knowing or unwittingly, everything Putin has sought to inflict upon western democracy has almost all came to pass. Then, you've got Rand Paul and other Republican senators spending July 4th in Russia, and now Rand Paul is further pushing the narrative of a stolen election despite the insistence from McConnell to cease questioning the election now that it has been certified. Who's really in charge, and what do these Republican senators have to gain from all this should democracy fall? Is the end goal for the Republican party to create an American plutocracy?

Rand Prickalini is a Libertarian fuckwad.

In the bottom line it all comes down to the fact that time and circumstances overrun the basic premises of the country:

1. With invention of modern technologies over the last few decades the marketing industry got a huge boost in what it can do. However that much marketing led to distortion of reality and favoring certain "wrong products".

2. Globalization and favoring individual gains allowed favoring of foreign workforce. What technology simply made even more viable then it was before.

3. Various other countries used all the circumstances to their advantages since they took much more planned path of development.

What in it's summation blow up the system and made a mess that is obvious to everyone. Especially since the logic of individual gains made sure that people turn on each other.

Since we switched from industrial oligarchs to tech oligarchs it's no longer possible for unskilled workers to earn a living wage with multiple shitty service work jobs, as opposed to the well-enough paying manufacturing jobs that we've long shipped to China. So it's certainly not great for them, who are torn left vs right on the kind of help they want- the right wanting those middle class jobs back, or at least regulation more friendly to small buisness than large corporations, to start their own businesses- and the left wanting more direct help in the form of minimum wage hikes for those shitty service jobs, or straight government scraps/handouts and widening the disability rolls with UBI. The former was a strategy we were pursuing under Trump, with more success than I anticipated, though I have a feeling we will be going back to the rich throwing scraps at the poor to keep them from uprising strategy under the Biden/globalist/big tech/big media administration- but we will see.

Fuck the noise, man. You're either for democracy or not. Those goddamn group labels won't serve you anymore.
