When I think of Introversion and all the people I know who are introverted I notice there's a difference. I took a test that helps decribe the differences I'm seeing.
There are question like this: Do you try to avoid others? A yes points to introversion.
While there's a question like this: You don't actively approach people. A yes points to introversion.
These are the difference between a wall and a window. Some introverts have a mental stone wall around them while other are guarded by a thick sheet of glass.
A shield of glass makes you feel as if you can see it all, but you're not interacting. People can see you too, but you're out of reach. You don't hate people, you're not trying to avoid them, but you're not trying to get close either.
a stone wall is more like protection against things. You really really want to keep things and other people out. You're not even trying to look, you're in your own world. People talking to you is almost always a bother.
Then there's the thing where it asks if you like people or if you can't stand them on test. I personally love people, but get worn out from things like too much eye contact.
Blah........tired of writing I'll reorganize this later.
