I live where all the action is.

It's not Vegas or anything like that, but kinda, sorta like Vegas without all the fun and exciting casinos. The only lights that glitter at night here are the Shell's gas station and the neon fast food signage on every other block.

At any time of the day and night you can see pimps and hoes walking the streets. All ethnic backgrounds, all shapes and sizes. Whatever you want, we have it on International Boulevard.

I find it so exciting, I mean, I don't get sexually aroused by hoes or pimps. I feel like they live like rockstars. They're daredevils, rebels, their lifestyle is so tabu and it fascinates me. At the same time I feel rather sad for these women, especially for those young women who are forced to do such things unwillingly. If there is a God, I hope s/he saves these poor victims from the streets or at least give the city of Oakland more money to support better police enforcement. There are those hoes/pimps who do it because they love it, and it's totally his/her career. Or they do it because maybe they need some drugs. I'm trying to be open-minded here, but I guess I honestly don't really know why people choose to live a life like that. I'm just glad I'm not a hoe, I just wish I was getting hoe action (in a monogamous relationship, but I can't even get that).

I can relate to being a loner and feeling like I can't connect with anyone. Here's what helped me in case there are any strategies you might find useful in your life.

1. Found people who actually enjoyed talking with loners/introverts and were interested enough to enter my world.

2. I discovered that I was repressing my extraverted intuition (Ne), which is how the INTP primarily deals with the external world. Without it, I couldn't deal with the external world.

3. Stopped criticizing myself and bringing down my self-esteem. Instead, I realized that people were reacting negatively to my loner behaviors rather than me. I gradually got good at identifying which behaviors caused negative perceptions, and changed those.
