Well, I think there are enough threads for people to be funny--just look around! I agree that we could use more threads for people to be iintentionally funny. :D

Not necessarily threads, but spaces/sections/sub-forums where people can be intentionally funny.

Well nobody really complains about positive stereotyping.

Hehehe ... that reminds me of a joke:

insulting stereotypes are inevitable... getting worked up about any one in particular feels like a waste of energy... just be yourself and create a reputation... that will dispel inaccurate applications of a stereotype to yourself...

Okay, here is the broader question! Have any of you been unjustly discriminated against, once your type was known, here or in the real world to your detriment? I would love to hear your experiences--all types welcome, but I have a soft spot for Feelers and Ps.

That's racist!

:troll:

C'mon, it's the Internet. Any idiot can make videos and bla bla all they want. It doesn't make it special. It's silly to take people seriously on the Internet. The Internet is for porn and pictures of cute cats.

Stereotyping is basically a lazy way of thinking for the common masses.
I am the superior chosen one. Bow to me, bitch.

I did not realize you were such a glutton for punishment.

And you told not to judge the book by the cover! Oh Coriolis, you are a sadist!

I am not judging a book by its cover, which you would realize if you perused that thread yourself.

I am afraid you will have to once again, readjust your perception of me as I lost interest in the idea of perusing that thread before I even opened it!

Lately, I have spent some time looking at the various YouTube videos on MBTI in general and on ENFPs in particular! RAGE!! That is what I feel! This is such BULLSHIT about feelers and Ps in particular acting like Jerry Lewis on Ecstasy! I mean it is worth an X-files episode to investigate how someone this puerile and ludicrous would survive in the real world, if not thrive in it, acting the way ENFPs are portrayed in these videos!:BangHead:

I am at a loss of words, which is good, because the ones I might use will certainly precipitate my getting banned from TypeC, which is on the cards for sure.

But JUST LOOK at this NINCOMPOOP here! Who the hell will even get through school or college acting like this!
Many of us are highly ambitious, extremely driven go-getters, who will do what we set out to do, albeit in a more creative and opportunistic way than someone with their plans set in stone! So we don't walk around like we have a stick up our ass, but I guarantee you that should you push that stick through our one ear and out the other, you WILL MEET W/ RESISTANCE!!!

But THIS!!!!! this woman does not have the marbles to understand the working of a belt buckle and they handed her a stapler!

:wtf:
I will say this: if this type of stereotyping continues, nobody, who has ever heard of MBTI, will hire an ExFP for anything--not even to play the clown at a Chuck-e-Cheese birthday bash, for the enfp fool will be expected to use icing for make up and light the candles with a fart! This is not good, people! If any other group, say a race or a religious denomination, were treated with such blatant disrespect, there would be some SERIOUS lobbying efforts at the Capitol!

Maybe the Constitution needs to amended yet again to allow ENFPs a fair trial before being institutionalized for oozing a deluge of non-biodegradable stupidity!:ranting:

One of the top comments at the video page said that it was a parody video.

You did suggest that you would be spending the next several hours reading it. Are you asking me to readjust my perception of you as someone who does what he says he will do?

This is true. Those confounded emotions...they always tell me what to do and throw Te under the bus.

Isn't that for super smart people? The ENFPs are apparently not fit be anything but Santa's reindeer.
Reindeer are ESTPs. ENFPs get to be elves.

I feel the same way about xSFJ descriptions. They always paint us to be ultra conservative, traditional, stick-up-the-ass controlling grandma types. The only good video I've ever seen on ISFJs is Michael Pierce's. And the worst part is, because there aren't a lot of SJs online, no one really gives a shit and many people are fine just buying into those stereotypes, because not many people are around who will fight them... and half of the online SJs are mistyped as NPs because of how awful SJ stereotypes are.

Newcomer round here, and your post really illustrates what I have been struggling with the past couple weeks. Once again I find myself questioning my ISFJ type because of being bombarded by stereotypes. I guess it leads me to believe that if this is the acceptable norm, maybe I have been mistyped? And just like you say - I often mistype as INFP.

As an ISFJ I can be quite cynical, absent-minded, lazy and disorganized. One my favorite stereotypes I read was "likes to handle mundane or routine chores." Great, so we're all "the Help."
