I went to a Charismatic church meeting when I got there on Friday night (July 24) at the church building where we attended for 13 years. It was just so awesome to be back there. There were about 10 people there that I knew. I felt right at home, and people prayed for me and hugged me and loved me and it was very refreshing! It gave me renewed hope for my life.

Saturday, we had the Memorial Service for my husband. There were about 50 people there, most of whom were old friends. We had a reception afterward and then I hung out with the old friends who had initiated my visit and procured my plane ticket.

Sunday, I had a wonderful time at the new church, and I saw more old friends I hadn't seen in years. Afterward, I had Maryland Blue Crab!! But they were $45 a dozen! I went to the old neighborhood. I went with my friend Tammy down to the City Dock in Downtown Annapolis... that was nice! And then she showed me the new Parole Plaza!! Amazing!!

Monday, I fixed a computer problem for the gal who was letting me stay at her house. I was very proud of myself because I couldn't find the solution online, so I had to figure out why it was giving us a problem.

Then I flew home.

It was nice to see my old friends, some of whom I had met over 20 years ago. I got lots of love and encouragement. It was fun, but I wish I hadn't had so many headaches.

I'm more ready to embrace my future now... or at least anticipate good things.

Oh, I forgot to mention that a 48 year old friend of ours died while I was there. He had a burst aneurysm, too... while surfing. Left a wife and two kids. Tragic.
