It's pretty bad when housekeeping starts invading my dreams! In my dream I was on something like a college campus and my sister was sleeping in one of the beds so I couldn't clean my room though I really wanted to clean it and I was frustrated because I couldn't. Weird. I'm curious as to what it means, although I have a feeling it's pretty obvious.

Interesting... so you think there's something in this dream interpretation stuff then?

I tend to be ambivalent about it. On the one hand, I'm aware that when our subconscious is shuffling the cards in our sleep, it can pay to look what cards are coming up. But on the other hand, I don't see how 'dictionaries' of dream portents can really work because something that symbolizes something to me to could symbolize something totally different to you and therefore though we dream of the same thing, it means something totally different.

Hmm...

I agree with you about dream dictionaries. Most of them are a bunch of hooey. But that one by Miller has been very helpful. Understanding my dreams probably wouldn't be all that important if I were more in touch with my feelings, but I have found that my dreams are usually a reflection of my current feelings. It's uncanny the way the symbols in Miller's book seem to be relevant.

Like once I dreamed I was wading through tall green grass. According to the book it meant something about wealth. And just that week I had been feeling much more financially secure than I had in a long time. No great revelation really, but interesting.

Sometimes I have to interpret through inference. It's not always straightforward.

If I have a dream that I remember several more times during the day, I will look it up, just so it will stop bothering me. :)
