[ESFP] How Do You Know If An ESFP TRULY Likes You?

There is an ESFP guy that I know who is very extroverted. He doesn't seem to have any trouble finding a few fish in the sea. I've seen the way he treats everyone else. its all the same, apparently. This is why I was very slow to get to know him. This guy has told me that he liked me. I understand that: but that was only in a friendly matter. He calls my friend and pours his heart out about his feelings for me. My question is, Are ESFPs like this when they have a crush on somebody or when they REALLY like somebody?
