I don't enjoy hostile conversations. It takes all the fun out of the discussion. I mean, I can get just as intense as the next person sometimes, but I don't insult people and name-call. This whole forum has a really hostile "feel" to it. No matter how friendly of a conversation you try to have, you can always count on someone *cough.INTPs.cough* coming along, jumping down your throat and turning it into a contest of logic and grammar and whatever else they feel like nit-picking about.
Goodbye cruel forum.

You're right it takes all the fun and learning out of the discussion. When people start with the insults I usually stop reading the thread.

I've noticed a lot of people on this forum are in their twenties. Which means they're excited about learning it's okay to be themselves after years of their parents telling them what's wrong with them. However they have not yet realized how fleeting this gift of life is so they are lacking the experience to understand that the main point in conversation is a meeting of two souls and not a contest in cleverness and oneupsmanship.

I think you're right. I think the young INTPs are the worst offenders.

I've quit the forum, except for one thread.
And I use the Ventrilo server.
But avoiding vulgarity and profanity is sometimes difficult on Vent.
I'm starting to think I may have to quit that, too.
