It's interesting. I take a step back from it all; my beliefs, my thoughts, my biases. I place myself in others shoes. All I come up with is that people are fools. There are smart people, but all I've found is that the more people seek after knowledge the more foolish and engrossed they become. I like being smart and it gets you places in this world. However, I think that wisdom will take you further. I would exchange all of my knowledge for wisdom. It would be the better choice. Wisdom is not so easily earned, but knowledge is gained every day.
As a partial attachment and side note I'm about done if not done with the religion thread. People are to engraved with their way of thinking and their perceptions to try and even see my views. Converting people wasn't my goal, but it's nice in a discussion for others to attempt to understand what the other person is saying. Some people where attempting to under stand, others weren't, etc. It's not worth the energy to maintain. People say something contradicts something, or that another doesn't make sense yet they do not have the context to determine whether it does or does not. People need to gather as much information as possible and use wisdom to determine whether it does or not. It's not just that they are attacking my beliefs. I can set those feelings aside for a while... But, eventually it's just enough.
I've had my beliefs since I can remember. Not because of my parents, but because of my choice. My beliefs are me. They define me. Eventually enough is enough and I just have to proverbially "walk away."
