I was pretty brain dead for most of the day, but i started to regain function as the day proceeded. My first class was History 1301. I love history so i went into the class with optimism and i came out of the class with even more optimism. The professor is...insane, but he seems like he is going to be an excellent professor. He was incredibly organized and stated right away that only 10% of his students get an A in his class, which i dont quite understand, because it seems relatively simple. There are several projects to do, but they are mostly things like take home exams, and essays. I guess people are just too lazy to turn stuff in. I am determined to get an A since he made it seem so impossible. :)

Next was Intro to Psych 2301. I'm quite positive i'm going to hate this class. The professor is very full of herself, but that is not what makes me know i'm going to hate the class. I know i'm going to hate the class because the first thing she made us do was pair up with a partner, and interview them. It was an introduction exercise. It was a nightmare, i wanted to crawl under a rock. Finally someone asked if i wanted to be partners, so that made things a bit easier. After we interviewed them, we had to stand up in front of everyone and tell them what we learned about the person. ICK. The professor made it very clear that she does not lecture, and expects full class participation in the activities she has planned for the day. She was highly extroverted, and wanted all of us to be the same. Our first assignment is to write a 10 page essay on what motivates us. WTF. That was intimidating, but the most intimidating part is that we have to give an oral presentation regarding the essay. I'm going to die by the end of the semester. This is for sure.

my third class was English 1301. The professor was completely clueless to say the least. This class is going to be incredibly simple and i doubt i will learn anything. hmph.

now i must finish cooking.

Wow, my sympathies to dealing with your Psych professor. I hate that kind of stuff where we have to tell everyone else about ourselves. Or reveal info to total strangers. And to think that the grade for your class is decided on how much self-exposition you do. That's crazy :p. She doesn't lecture? What the heck does she do then? And a ten page essay on your motivations? How is that possible? My motivations would probably be quite simple, hehe. Is she ESFJ? They usually like inane details.

Anyway, your history teacher sounds cool. :) The insane ones are the best. How come you said he was insane?

Ewww, mixer games on the first day. Yuck.

What your history guy probably means is that he only gives 10% of the class an A, regardless of how hard it is, which I think is bogus. If a teacher tells me that, it makes me mad, b/c I think if the entire class works hard enough to get an A, they should. I don't believe in comparing one student's work to another's.
