Growing up I was picked on by a lot of people. The thing I despise most is taking advantage of other or exploiting them. It was to such a degree that when I made sure I didn't do with to others.
Generally if I'm able to help someone out I will. If I'm driving and see someone walking on the side of the road I pull over to see if they need a ride. If I see a homeless person I don't really give them money [since a lot of the time they spent it on alcohol and drugs] as much as I'm willing to take them to get something to eat and point them in the direction of a temporary job agency and a shelter. I've sometimes helped to the point where I ended up screwing myself over, like letting people stay in my house who ended up stealing my stuff.
Betrayal is something I don't like. LIke when you help someone out and they just stab you in the back and cast you to the said later. That's pretty disgusting to me and all, but it doesn't piss me off nearly as much as when people say I'm the bad guy.
That's where I tend to get angry and lose it. Because there's all that I've lost trying to help people and there's how much I despise taking advantage of people and using them for your own selfish agenda's and how hard I work to not be this way. When someone accuses me of this I'm a little annoyed.
One time, long ago. A friend borrowed Metroid Zero mission from me and I borrowed Golden Sun from her. After a while I wanted my game back and tried to get in touch with her. She didn't answer her phone and didn't respond to my e-mail. So I lost her game.
After losing it she calls me up and asks for her game back. I told her I had lost it but I'm trying to find it and if I don't I'll just buy her a new one. She get's angry that I lost it and asks why I didn't just give it back sooner. What the hell? I tell her I had left her e-mails, and called pretty much every day to try and return it but she'd never gotten back in touch. She snaps "Well I have a very busy life, you should've tried harder." I tell her to calm down and that I want my game just as much as she wants hers. "No, you don't know how much I want my game. You're so irresponsible you should've gotten in touch sooner." I hang up on her.
I go out and buy a new game, but keep the receipt and try to get in touch again. But she still wont respond. I don't hear from her, so I return the game and get a new copy of the one I loaned her.
I run into her at work. I tell her "Hey, I had bought a new copy of Golden Sun, but I never heard from you to give it to you. So I returned it and just rebought Metroid zero mission. Metroid Costs a little bit more than Golden sun, you can trade the one you have in and get a new copy of Golden sun, or get a used copy and a few bucks back."
"You sold my game?! What an asshole!! Why didn't you just get in touch with me and give it back?"
"I'm not sure you heard what I said correctly. I lost the first copy so I bought a new one but you never reply when I try to get in touch with you, so I returned it and bought my game."
"Wow, you're such a douche."
Ever since then, this girl Sarah, one of the other girls friends, hates me. She heard her side of the story and thinks I sold her game. She also think I never tried to get in touch with her. And they both go around telling people I'm this shady horrible person.
