Do people need to reproduce to feel complete?

I like to think that we have evolved beyond our most basic insticts.
I will most likely not reproduce because 1) raising a child is expensive as shit, 2) the world kinda sucks and will most likely suck more when the next generation reaches adulthood, and 3) my SO and I just don't really want to. There is more than one way to live.

She use to come to the ED when I worked in there. She told me to mind my own fucking business when I asked if she wanted one of them to get started on the immunizations she had never bothered to look into for any of them. When I think of people that should have their reproductive organs ripped from their bodies for the sake of humanity, I think of her.

Some people want children some don't. I don't but i probably would if i found the right person and they wanted them too. As of now i just want nieces and nephews but not my own. Whatever people want is right for them i respect. I just hate those things that are one size fits all guides to happiness no bitch. Contemporarily speaking, it's more valid than ever. The relatively recent advent of reproductive control has introduced a long term side effect best pointed out in idiocracy:

To stem the great dumbing down there's two avenues, encouraging everyone including 'smart' people to reproduce, or developing some way to discourage 'dumb' people from reproducing. Since reproduction is rooted in unshakable instinct, I personally think the former is a far more viable path than the later.
