... And it was wonderful! :bunnyglee:

While I was on the shuttle bus heading towards college this morning, I decided that I'd immediately take the CTA train to Roosevelt, instead of going to the library or the Tower as usual - somehow I just felt like going to Lake Michigan. And it was a good thing I did that. :)

See, during that time, I had disconnected myself almost completely from my electronic devices: my laptop, cellphone, and even my iPod shuffle. And instead, I began to tune myself into nature. I felt the gentle caress of the wind as I walked with my bag; there were so many birds chirping and singing in the lovely morning weather; and I saw a large group of ducks spread out across the Lake.

There was also this young photographer who wanted to take my picture by the shore, for her current project - so I gladly allowed her to. I'm happy that I at least made her day. :D God bless her, she will go far in her work.

So now I feel more refreshed, at peace with myself and ready to take on the day's challenges.

LESSON #5: Don't be afraid to break from your daily routine every now and then. You may be surprised by what you discover.
