Copying Beethoven (2006)

This was an excellent movie. I really enjoyed it. Anyone who likes period movies and espeically those with Fi would enjoy it. It is about real relationship and friendship and all that jazz.

I also watched Stardust.

This movie had a lot of promise and had that surrealistic appeal like an Edward Scissorhands type thing, but it just never delievered what it promised. It was achingly close to being a great movie but fell short.

Phooey. I've held off on Stardust because I feared disappointment. :(

You have a beautiful face, Heart!

Well, don't let me put you off it. It might have been my mood or something.

Thanks for the sweet compliment.

Stardust wasn't awesome, but it was enjoyable. It held my attention anyways. I read Gaiman's story previously and I wasn't disappointed except by the missing scene with the fight between the lion and the unicorn. The movie was more imaginative than most movies.

When I read this post a while back I added Copying Beethoven to my netflix queue (startdust was already in it, and is still further down the line), and I had the chance to watch it this weekend.

I'm generally not too fond of movies that mix fiction with historical figures in a non-comedy movie or TV show (I keep asking myself "how plausible is it that that person would have really reacted that way to that conversation or situation" and that detracts from the movie to me), but I still enjoyed the movie overall. Looking at it just as a story and character interaction I liked it and would also recommend it to xxFPs (the main character does seem to show clear Fi that I could relate to a number of times.)

Another movie that adds fiction to history well, at least I thought it did, was "Girl with Pearl Earring." The main character very Fi/INFP.

A book like that was Other Joys, Other Sorrows good story but made me uncomfortable the way the author made Blake an adulterer when there is no solid evidence that he was anything other than faithful to his wife.

Honestly I couldn't disagree more, Stardust was awesome! It was so nice to have a film in the genre of The Princess Bride and robin hood men in tights!

I loved it, maybe it just hit at a moment in my life that propelled it, but I really should go out and buy a copy lol...
