Romanian election results: Trump fan George Simion wins first round, Nicușor Dan comes second


It seems that the results are in for the most part.

The election results are being closely watched in Brussels and Washington, as Romania has become the latest battleground between the far right and the political establishment.

However it worth saying that Simion has outperformed the polls and exit poll by 5 to 10 points. What means that he is within the striking distance of winning in the second round. Especially since his exact opponent is perhaps too nice and too intellectual for Romania. The country that is highly rural and it has pretty turbulent history (that never really ended).

I mean the two above posts are in a way reference to the mentioned idea that just because Trump is in office that doesn't mean that the whole world will now suddenly vote left.

Wrong mainstream candidate came into the second round and now there is meltdown in the mainstream politics (at the time when they should gather on one pile).
In other words my bet is that hard right guy will win.
