Disclaimer. This may or may not be a true story. It quite possibly isn't and most likely is completely fabricated for entertainment purposes only. Enjoy
I made a desicion to research the effect aspirin in high dosage. I was nice enough to be my own test subject for a 25gram trial.
This experiment was going fine and dandy until This horrible noise started ringing in my ears. I can only describe as the sound you hear when a monitor is turned on with no audio feed. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE, sounds phonetically simular, but just isn't the same.
Now, everything else that made noise would sound as if it were underwater. When a noise was a high enough pitch it was pretty amplified and quite annoying.
So, constant ringing of the ears. Check.
High pitch noise more annoying than normal. Check.
I'm an audio learner. Check.
Pretty horrible situation of my own devising....I knew the sleep medication sounded like a much better experiment. Wonder drug my ass.
Oh....how am I here typing this you ask? Well, I had 2nd thoughts about the experiment. The foundation didn't seem to justify the end.
So, a little unorthodoxed charcol [cheeto's] and some fluid [the arizona iced tea was most readily available] and tube [index finger and middle finger] combined to extract the not so wonderful drugs in the test subjects system.
The test subject still felt dizzy and heard horrible ringing in the ears. Which lead to the last possible solution: Seeking help.....Sad sad day for this specific subject to ask anyone for help. It just don't feel comfortable.
A phone call to the place of aid later the subject is picked up by the EMS and I.V.'d up and all the good jazz.
A few basic questions about physical health later a Psychologist comes in and asks the subject a few questions.
"....Psychologist: Do you ever stay up for days and days and get more and more energetic?
Subject: I am not manic.
Pychologists: oh....Do, you sometimes feel...."
Which went in mostly like that.
The subject reads a lot of psychology and interprets the meaning behind a questions rather than answering the question. i.e. "Do you prefer to stand in the middle of the room or by the wall?" [no pun intended by the i.e.].
The subject is told it's completely sane and there was no indication of any major issues, aside from being part of the experiment.
