Yes, I have read extensively on enantiodromia. Most of what Jung says is from Greek Philosophy. Of course it is, he is a bridge to the philosophy and Jung's genius himself is applying it and making it relevant....although he doesn't invent the ideas or concepts he invents their applications, or perhaps discovers...That is why Jung's genius was superior to Einstein's and Freuds...he gave credit to those he stole them from where as the other two tried to claim them as their own. He showed extreme humility and that is why Jung is blossoming, and Einstein is a only really touted by those who participate in Scientism, science as an enterprise (a right wing capitalist construct promoted by the military industrial complex to create weapons and sell bombs) rather than science as a practice and a method (a neutral scholastic construct best exemplified by the true genius's who showed humility, class, and character like Nicholas Tesla).
That's a side mission though. With respects to his quotation above...he is not referring to enantiodromia. He is stating a fact about the psyche that occurs continuously regardless of personality type, the unconscious always communicates in this method, according to Jung, regardless of balancing state of the psyche. When he states "it" he is referring to the unconscious, as is in the book.
So to expand, regardless of what one's dominant function is - the unconscious always communicates in symbols and images that have a strong feeling tone. Some are aware some are not, but it is always part of the dominant function, as it relates to the unconcious.
