Is a person who spends his free time playing on the computer and surfing the Internet all day considered to have an extremely boring lifestyle by modern standards?

Doesn't matter. I'm just doing that to lead the people who normally read my blogs into this new area.

I also do it because this new area may seem too cluttered and people may miss the blog post. (Or else I didn't explore the rest of the blog interface.)

I don't think boring is the right word.. Boredom is the result of insufficient stimulation . How could someone know if you are understimulated? They can't. But I'm just nit-picking.

Is your lifestyle bland in the eyes of another? Certainly. Blandness, I will define as not only an absence of variety, but a lack of opportunity. Surfing the internet and playing computer games both do not exactly bring a world of possibility to the table.

Me personally no, but keep in mind that I'm an introvert who hasn't been given his alone time, and as a result is losing his mind.

Probably, but who cares. I suppose it's al relative. And I think anything is better than just staring at the tv all day.

at least there's a level of social interaction.
probably less in the mmorpg world than in a forum like this...
but more social interaction than getting TVed
i know for me, personally, i am more prone to socialize while interacting with forumers online than i am out walking/working/biking/shopping/bussing/partying.

but by others / outsiders who don't know or understand you the answer is proabably a yes. but they will have formed an opinion founded on nothing that i stand for so... meh
