I was interested if there are people here who read the books of the Witcher Geralt from Andrzej Sapkowski. Some might know also the PC game The Witcher which bases on the books, but I want to talk about the books. I used the forum search but apparently there is no thread about it.
I am wondering what types the characters have. I have trouble figuring out them and would like to hear what you might think. Though the names of some characters in the German translation seem to be different, so I hope there won't be confusions with the names.
Especially Dandelion (in German Rittersporn, I hope Dandelion is the right name in English version; I mean Geralt's friend, the poet) is difficult to type for me. He behaves very different in the first two books in comparison to the third and fourth book (which I am reading right now), that means in the first two books he is far more silly and foolish, while in the third book he comes off more intelligent although of course he still does make jokes. I wonder if that has to do with the translation or with the author. I would type him as ESTP, but I am not sure about it. He might be also ESFP, ENFP or ENTP.
Geralt seems like an INFP actually, but maybe I just want him to be I am sure about the I, and I think he is a Feeler as well who shows himself as very cold only to the outside and seems to believe it even (it was a topic in several conversations as well), but he has strong values which come out often and struggles with the evilness in the world often, and he often seems to be deeply hurt in his inner. I am not sure about the N and the P though. He doesn't seem to care much about social norms etc. though, and when I see him in contrast to Dandelion he doesn't seem to be a S either.
Some list of the most important characters (you can write about others too if you want). Again, I don't know if the names are all the same.
Geralt (the witcher)
Dandelion / Rittersporn (the poet, Geralt's friend)
Nenneke (the priestess of Melitele, also in friendship with Geralt)
Yennefer (Geralt's loved sorceress)
Calanthe (the Queen of Cintra)
Ciri (the granddaughter of Calanthe with the special bond to Geralt)
