The annual Westbrook arc is about to repeat again. He'll make people facepalm, then unlock Super Saiyan mode come mid-December through February before he makes a lot of people facepalm again.

I give it 20 games. If they're like hovering around .500 or lower through a 20 game stretch, Westbrook is gonna meet the same fate as the Drose/Dwade 2017 Cavaliers team when LeGM decides to send all those old guys to the retirement home.

It's nice to be a fan of a rebuilding team in a peak era of inorganic superteams.

A lot of close and good games last week.:

Cowboys-Patriots: Mac Jones is doin' a nice job puttin' drives together for a rookie....just needs to start closing the show. Cowboys been spicin' things up this season, and Prescott-Lamb make for one helluva a pair.
Steelers-Seahawks: Tremendous play by JJ Watt in OT...Roethlisberger just needs to go, so over the hill
Cardinals-Browns: Cardinals now strike me as a serious team. Kyler Murray's MVP potential had to have gone up especially after Allen's performance against Titans
Bills-Titans: Bills did not put forward a run game making them easier to predict, and Henry ran all over their defensive line....looked like the Bills of Week One. What an ending in that final drive for the Bills-Titans starting with the callback of that 101 yard run and ending with that play on 4th and 1. Right call imo even though they lost.

I'm super hyped for this Packers-Cardinals TNF matchup. This is gonna be a shootout or a defensive showdown.

This is more of a test for the Packers than the Cardinals. Over the last few years the Packers have went 13-3 the last two seasons, went to back-to-back NFC Championship games, yet have never really blown many away in terms of dominance on the field -- this will be their first real test of the season after getting pummeled by the Saints on their opening game. That said, this season, which should surely at least end in a playoff appearance unless the wheels just completely fall off, has probably saved Kliff Kingsbury's job (at least for now), as he definitely had to be on the hot seat going into the season.

Mac Jones is the real deal, he just needs some more weapons (Outside of Matthew Judon, the Patriots free agency acquisitions haven't exactly panned out in relation to how much they overpaid for some of them, especially those two free agent tight-ends), and a Offensive Coordinator who isn't playing so painfully conservative. LET. MAC. COOK!

“My focus is completely on Illinois and this team and this program,” Franklin said when asked if he’s committed to being the Nittany Lions’ coach next season. “I think I’ve shown over my eight years my commitment to this university and this community, and that’s kind of my statement.

“We’re trying to be focused on Illinois and talking about Illinois as much as we can.”

Cardinals v Packers was a great game Thursday night. Cardinals showed a lot of guts in that 4th quarter

Prayers for Derrick Henry. Man was on his way to a possible MVP season, too.

He got injured as well? Damn. Titans were making a solid run this year.

Also, Jameis Winston looks to have a season-ending knee injury. New Orleans needs to go get Cam Newton off the couch.

That was my exact thought when I heard about Winston.

Also, Von Miller to the Rams is...kind of random, but I'm happy for him getting a chance at another ring. I think that defense can give Tampa Bay some serious trouble in the playoffs if they meet. AD's grown a lot (physically and talent-wise) since the Rams' fluke SB run in 2019, and having Ramsey and Von Miller ain't bad.
