Matthew 7:15-20

15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. 16 You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit. 18 A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus you will recognize them by their fruits.

Every prophet is a false prophet until/unless they can convince the masses.

Bill Maher talks about the issue of history being written from a presentist view and blames colonialism and slavery on people being “generally atrocious” back then. The Majority Report crew discusses how Maher tried to minimize America’s role in chattel slavery and compared it to tribal slavery. The MR crew also talks about how liberal intervention narratives existed then and Maher’s failure to understand the systemic economic systems in place that fueled such atrocious parts of history.

Better than Bulgaria but not as nice as Cuba: how did the US become such an awful place to live?

The land of the free is heading for ‘developing country’ status, based on a UN index that ranks quality of life. The UK’s not doing much better
What do you call a country where nearly one in 10 adults have medical debts and a broken bone can boot you into bankruptcy? A country where a city of more than 160,000 residents recently had no safe drinking water for weeks? A country where life expectancy has dropped for the second year in a row and poor people sell their blood plasma in order to make ends meet? A country where the maternal mortality rate of black women in the capital is nearly twice as high as for women in Syria?

You call it one of the richest countries in the world.

The US is the second-wealthiest country in the world (recently overtaken by China) when you look at national balance sheets. It’s the largest economy in the world when you look at GDP. And it’s home to some of the richest people in the world. By all those measures of progress, the US is doing great. By other measures, however, things are not quite as rosy. The UN recently demoted the US to 41st, down from 32nd, in a global ranking based on its sustainable development goals. Like everything UN-related, this index is jargony and complicated, but essentially it is focused on the quality of life of ordinary people rather than the creation of wealth. And, on this measure, the US comes just behind Cuba and just above Bulgaria. The US is “becoming a ‘developing country’,” one MIT economist said last week, based on this index.

If you’re reading this from the other side of the Atlantic, things aren’t much better. An analysis in the Financial Times last week found that “On present trends, the average Slovenian household will be better off than its British counterpart by 2024, and the average Polish family will move ahead before the end of the decade.” Essentially, the analysis concluded, income inequality in the US and UK is so enormous that the two nations should be classed as poor countries with some very rich people. Most of whom seem to be in the government.

"The bans are targeting authors of color, authors that are lgbtq, that's who they go after, or books who have main characters of those demographics..."
"The ideology that would lead them to specifically target lgbtq and authors of color...it's indefensible. Those parents want their kids to have that family value, but they can't defend it, because there's not a defense for it. And those books... Promote that curiosity. Those books promote asking questions. Questions that the parents don't want to answer because they cant..."
"Parents are making a choice to keep their kids ignorant..."

They've been slow on the uptake but it seems like Dems are finally becoming aware of the trouble they're in with crime.

Would be a lot more interesting if people could explain things in their own words, instead of relying on profits or Youtube videos. We are in a culture war, far more than a war of facts. No one listens to what each other has to say, they only cry out their rallying cries to their own kin, and only their kin will answer. Debate, has long since died out. No one cares anymore, about the truth.
