Biden: "But 500 children have been separated from their families!"

Trump:

I think he actually did say "Good." after Joe said that.

Biden eyes GOP candidates for Cabinet slots Really... REALLY??? Democrats really are so, so weak. This is why despite every blunder that takes place when the Republicans regain control after Democrats recorrect the course of the ship, they are still a viable political party in the US. Despite the Republicans being the minority party in terms of policy polling, the Democrats just love this idealized world where they can "reach across the aisle" and put country over politics and work together. If Democratic leadership had ANY backbone whatsoever, the reign of Trump could and rightfully should be the nail in the coffin which permanently relegates the GOP into a minority party position. Do you people not understand that Republicans give absolutely zero shits about working with the left in anyway? I mean, anyway more than they can possibly get away with? Even entertaining Republicans for cabinet positions just further helps the party's future framing that the GOP was hijacked by Trumpism and that wasn't "their party", yet they're almost all complicit. I just...I just don't get it....

Yeah. It's disappointing, and not surprising. And it's why Biden was not my first (or second, ...) choice.

I actually thought this was a much better debate.

I have to spend two hours pretending to be more enthusiastic about Joe than I really am because otherwise my SO starts wondering why I’m not more excited, and suspecting I’m a secret Trump supporter.

Who knows. Perhaps a Joe Biden election night win will encourage a breaking of the streak.

uggggggh. You have my sympathies. I have family members like that. It sucks. I'm like "I have to hear you go on about your political opinions all the time and I'm not supposed to voice mine?" Like, I don't actually care that they don't agree with me; I'm used to that. The thing I hate is that I have to agree with them.

I think recently when I'm around them I've learned to only express points of agreement.

Im already voting for that dipshit, but it doesn’t mean I have to be happy about it

CNN had 11 undecided voters in North Carolina finish up tonight after watching all the debates. Of the 11, 7 said they were finally ready to cast their vote. All 7 were for Biden. The remaining 4 were odd. One was pro-life and said if Barrett was confirmed he'd vote for Biden. The remaining 3 were holding out for some lightning bolt revelation in the last week - like what? Another conspiracy theory?

I can't get "When I become president..." out of my head. I mean, his supporters will probably willfully perceive Biden's smartass "Abe Lincoln here" as a senior moment (nevermind that it went clear over Trump's head), along with "Poor Boys, stand back and stand ready" (which made me laugh - my mom always used to do that too, even when I was little). Yet "When I become president" will probably slip right through their scan for compromised mental acuity.

In your opinion how high does early voting turnout has to go in order that it is considered large or something that will clearly effect the result ? (since on election day it will probably be record low turnout)

I accept state based opinions. I mean I am getting impression that overall turnout in many important states will be above 2016 levels.

That was particularly dumb logic on his behalf. That's like blaming Boeing for 9/11.

Or like blaming and suing gun manufacturers over school shootings.

Obama’s immigration policies were not as harsh as Trump’s

If they were actually undecided, it leaves one wondering whether they will actually vote or whether they'll remain undecided and then just not do anything... because yeah, at this point, I'm not sure what new things could be brought to light about either candidate.
