We are already half way there. Falling further and further into the rabbit hole. I suppose that once we get to that point there will be no return and we wil be so smart that we are stupid and it would be the best to put us down because we are already pretty much dead anyways.

Who knows though, if there is some sort of underground resistance movement to the drug that is working to actively fight against what it is doing to humanity then maybe they could either find some sort of way to cure it and everyone would realize that too much knowledge can give people too much power and that power corrupts and that being the best does not always have to mean that you are the most talented person but it can also be what you do with yourself. Or or! They could just let the people who had undergone the process kill themselves with their own stupidity and then they could start over from scratch and rebuild their version of their ideal communtiy even though after a while they realize that everyones ideal is different and they start to fight and either they all fight eventually leading to the scenario with the serum infected humans again which they realize to be the inevitable end to huamnity or they start up some sort of class war or some sort of battle for the throne takes place where many are killed reducing our gene pool to that of adam and eve meaning that there will be genetic mutati... Who knows! Maybe scientists will think that they discovered an infalliable way to increase the insight of the human mind with some sort of serum. When they inject the serum into the population at first we all get so much smarter, but what we do not realize is that sometimes too much intelligence can be a bad thing and that there are some things that are best unknown. We all get so smart that we remember everything that was ever said to us and we are able to think of every possible scenario that could affect us and we sink further and further into our own paranoias until we become so engrossed in them that we start paying less and less attention to the here and now and in fits of supposed clarity we all go on rampages and kill whoever we percieved to have or will wrong us and our theories drive us into maddnessz

Only our own stupidity(like scientists first try to make majority of people infertile so that we wouldnt make too much babies and then fuck it up so that we can only make babies in test tubes, but over time our genes getting worse and worse till even the test tube thing doesent work) or alien invasion can wipe us out completely. Pretty much every other scenario enough of people will survive so that they can repopulate the earth, or live in some space station. It seems like human population went down to only 200 persons at one point in history, and im pretty sure there are many of much larger safety places for the elite around the world now.
